You're still arguing about the Rock after I encouraged you all to stop and return to congratulating Jaiden instead. That's what this thread was suppose to be about.

So let me help you here. Some people think the Rock is worth the money, some don't. That's it. Nothing more to say. This has become a big pissing contest over nothing.

Nobody is arguing about The Rock. We're arguing about the way out of left field retort to saying "try out The Rock"

If he just said "naw, not for me" that would have been the end of the discussion

This was an extremely weird response

What’s weird is people having all sorts of problems with other people not wanting to pay money for a subscription. If you want to subscribe, then do (I do). If you don’t, then don’t. And leave people alone. It’s like the a-holes who complain about people who don’t want to vote.

And this is how good journalism dies...No one wants to pay for it, while the so-called free internet is full of rumors and "fake news."

...and so you’re saying that good journalism is all about making money (and not so much about getting out the truth)... got it. Actually, take away the “good” and I think you’re spot on.

This is perfectly reasonable. What isn’t reasonable is expecting to have paying members sharing the information that they are paying for with the free board because someone asked a question which they have the answer to via paid content. Sorry, free board is really not free. Somebody has to pay to keep the lights on and pay that massive stipend to Lou.

Honestly, it gets confusing when the same topics are discussed on both boards. The easy solution is pay members stay on the pay board and non-paying members stay on the free board. Keeps it nice and clean.

BTW- can someone please direct me to any other NU boards with robust discussion. I would like to participate. Don’t send the Inside NU nonsense.

And no one has asked that paying members share info that they are paying for.

Man, lots of stupid people on this board. Wish the season would just start so those people would just be stupid about football (and we could make fun of them on The Rock).

Who needs the season to start for people to be stupid about football? Many of us are stupid year round.

[QUOTE="Aging Booster, post: 641733, member: 1458"It will be a hot day in Antarctica before I pay for any internet content.[/QUOTE]

Whatever you did (or still do) in career, did you do it for free? Yea, I didn’t think so.

Welcome Jaiden!

Class needs a DT, but would take another talented DE any day.

(And let Aging Booster be.)

Quit all your haggling about the Rock.

This thread was suppose to be about the wonderful news that Jaiden has become a Cat. Great news for him and for us.

You are ruining that with this unnecessary arguing. If you really must argue about something take it over to the Rant Board. Not here in this thread.

Welcome Jaiden! Looking forward to you having a great career in Purple.
On the plus side, Jaiden seems to hold the record for longest welcome thread. Let's hope this is the first in a longline of records broken by this class of recruits.

Those aren’t hands. Those are flippers.

Methinks JC is going to grow into a very large man.

Sadly, there is no way this is the longest welcome thread that has devolved into something entirely different.

The best part is there have been more than 50 posts on this thread since "end of discussion."
