Love that we got Fox but man I hope Cal is putting a full court press on Leaf. That kid is good

Leaf's going to UCLA. Cypress doesn't have anybody tall enough to give him any resistance.

Yep. Just heard the announcer reference UCLA and Alford. Hope Alford doesn't ruin the kid. He is impressive in this game

Leaf + defense = not a good combo. Kid has good offensive skills though...he'll fit in at the 4 for them.

Fox had an incredible recovery block, tracked down the ball, took to the rack and drew 2 shots.
He's working the baseline on half of the half court sets, then hangs around the foul line for open gaps.

We're really going to be glad to have him.

Announcers also talking about how Cal said we've already bought extra backboards for Bam when he arrives.

Imagine what Leaf would do against Bam. Not much. Leaf's just having his way in this game so far.

Fox's team has nobody to guard Leaf. Looks like their biggest guy is about 6-5 or so.

Fox's team should drive straight to the goal every time they cross mid court. Leaf is way at the top of that trap, then loafs back to the paint after the ball gets past him. Cypress can get lay ups every trip if they'd be more aggressive.

Fox looks good but I've been surprised how much he's deferred to his teammates. Not a bad trait, but they'd probably be better off with him being more assertive. Leaf is very good offensively but I'd like to see him against some size. He doesn't give much effort at all on defense.

He looks like Kyle to me.
Ritz cracker on a sea of saltines.
Very nice, but not the elite player uk is going after. Not saying cal would not take him; but committed to UCLA no need to put time into him. Jmho

Fox has been scoring 40 pts a lot this season which means he's been assertive all season. I bet 100$ Fox is taking a back seat because this game is on TV and it gets the team mates noticed.

Fox is very fast, athletic and seems to be a capable shooter. He should be an excellent defender with length at the point also should be a good finisher around the rim. One negative i see from his videos and watching a couple of his games is that he is very left hand dominant for a college PG.

well the 2nd half , Fox has been assertive, just a really bad 3rd quarter shooting wise.

There has to be a reason why with no shot clock in the game, that his team wasn't getting him the ball and having him make plays. And its known that coaches like getting their kids noticed and recruited by colleges. A nationally televised game is 1000000x's better having coaches come to the gym.

Fox is an And1 waiting to happen. Dude is a team player and knows when to carry the load. He is so fast and crafty after contact. Missed some short pull-ups but overall wow. He knows how to draw contact like a pro. He would start for UK right now honestly.

Fox and Leaf were really the only good players for their respective teams. Leaf was very impressive but playing against no one of his size, so it would be interesting to have seen him play against a big center. Yet, he was impressive. Fox was super quick and could drive,pull-up, etc. I didn't see really great passing from him though, so I don't know where some are saying he will be the best p.g. ever.

I thought the coaching for his team was lousy. Fox pretty much dominated when he felt like it and why they went away from that at the end (after Fox brought them back for a lead) is poor coaching in my opinion. Now, Fox, was certainly not perfect, as he missed some shots after great drives, but he also could have gotten many more open looks anytime he felt like it earlier in the game.

I have not seen Monk play but my guess is that he will be the greater scorer and hopefully will benefit from kick outs from Fox.

Fox made the easy pass. He made a couple of flashy passes but guards who make the right pass at the right time are what make teams flow. First pass to start the game was a wow but receiver couldn't finish. He had another one later were guy missed the lay up and rebounded to score. Fox played off the ball the majority of the first half. His team could not defend Leaf until they brought in the big soft kid to lean on him. Leaf's team got him a touch every possession. Good coaching. When you have a howitzer shoot it.

0%? So a coach wouldnt want his players getting noticed on live television? Thats what you are saying by 0% because if a coach does, its a lot higher than 0.

Notice how Fox took a ton of the team's shots in the 2nd half...... Why didnt he in the first half?

I will go ahead and say it, hes Wall with a jumper. Its gonna be a show next year with him and Monk. Fox, Monk with say Perry, Thomas and Orbzut could probably compete with any team in the nation next year. Except well have BAM, SKJ, Gabriel, Isaac, Lumberjack, Matthews, Willis, Hawkins and Mulder.
