Knocks off Kansas. A thing of beauty. Too bad it wasn’t March, a real bracket buster.

Back to reality and Rutgers hoops.

Flyers’ fans killing Anthony Grant this season. He probably gets a contract extension tomorrow. And we continue to schedule games with Lafayette and NJIT and Merrimack. The beat goes on and folks will continue to defend our scheduling tact. Phooey.

Big surprise because they have been terrible this year
very true but they played like the old Flyers today. I remember their great teams in 1965,66, and 67. Lost to UCLA in nat. championship game. Donnie May and Hank Finkel. Memories….

Teams are getting better by scheduling and playing real competition while our play regresses to the lower level of the Patriot by playing and now losing to them. This team is an older team and shouldn’t be babied. A good *** kicking by a top team might actually help them.

Yes its sad watching all these other power 6 schools competing in tourneys while our fans say the Big 10 schedule is tough enough

Would rather toughen the program up even in defeat

Dayton has losses against LIPSCOMB, AUSTIN PEAY, AND UMASS LOWELL before beating Kansas, if we lost to those 3 already this board would be shut down

The reason for the Flyers turnaround… True freshman Malachi Smith, younger brother of former Flyers great Scoochie Smith of the Archie Miller era Elite Eight team. In Malachi, coach Grant has found his point guard. Malachi runs the offense. He is a pass first point guard who is as fast as greased lightning.
Both of the Smith’s are Bronx natives.
