Stunz and Humm are the only two QB’s we’ve had who had thrown left handed..

The list of left handed QB's that are in the upper echelon of QBs in NFL history is also pretty short. After guys like Young, Stabler, and Esiason, the list drops off pretty quickly in terms of successful NFL resumes. Maybe Michael Vick is in the discussion, but it was more about legs vs arm with him. Is there something more to this other than the obvious factor that there are a lot less lefty vs righty people in the world. Maybe some students of the game can help educate me.

I would say, left handed dudes who can throw the ball well enough to be upper echelon QBs in the NFL will find that there are many more opportunities in MLB or baseball in general, without all of the concussions and lower risk of potential brain damage.

I think a lot of lefties who are long and athletic, and can throw hard and accurate, end up in another sport.

Most guys with enough athletic ability and the arm to be an NFL QB that are left handed are usually smart enough to figure out that they should take the baseball route.....

Weird. It's like 11% of the population is left handed or something.
