Dilemma. Can’t do both, but do I head to Dayton or pray we win and meet the team in SD?

Book San Diego. Great place to watch college hoops, ideal NCAA venue, weather, time zone etc.. enjoyable regardless, & if RU gets there will be memorable..OR book Dayton & flight to Vegas. If RU wins, Spend Thursday night in Vegas, early SW hop to San Diego Friday for games. IF RU loses, spend a few nights in Vegas. Ideal spot to watch games on TV…

Leaning toward San Diego as well. If anyone has tips on where to stay or good stuff to do on Saturday in between games (will have kids so can't just sit in a bar all day lol).

Needed a local destination to pull it off. My kids COVID quarantines ate up all my personal days. So I will be sitting this one out. I would have only done Dayton most likely.

I’m heading to San Diego for the first time tomorrow so some stuff I found - there’s the zoo of course, the botanical gardens, La Jolla cove has sea lions so you can do a kayak tour if they’re old enough, whale watching, Mt Soledad for star watching, the Taco Stand, City Tacos, Oscar’s Mexican Seafood, Herringbone Seafood, Breakfast Republic, Menya Ultra (ramen), Barbusa (Italian)

If I could go, it would be DAYTON! They NEED as much support as possible to GET to SD!

Decided on SD. I just got back from Miami and have Austin, Ottawa, and London work trips on deck. So had to stick around home for the wife for a few extra days.

Balboa Park is gorgeous and huge. There are all sorts of museums and such. Old town is classic touristy trap but could be fun for kids too. Sea world. Seaport village downtown is cute with shops and by the old navy ship on the water

San Diego - if you don’t go to Tacos el Gordo you missed out. Secret taco chain that started in Tijuana, not known to tourists but a local spot … famous for their spicy (not really spicy at all) Tacos de Adobada (pork) … get the Mula (like a cheesy quesadilla taco) version of whatever you get but at least get 1 adobada … signs are all in Spanish and everyone there is from across the border. How ever many tacos you get you’ll wish you got twice as many
