The 3 finalists are announced tomorrow. Dak was a finalist last year with Boykin and Marriota, but does he make it this year? There's 4 candidates of can think of in Dak, Watson, Mayfield and Navy's qb. Is Dak the odd man out? I think any of the 4 could make it and any of the 4 could win it. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out

Be a damn shame for a guy with over 3000 yards, 23 TDs, and only 3 interceptions to get left out.

Why the hell would Navy's QB get an invite over Dak? He's just a running back playing QB. No way a guy completing under 50% of his passes should be invited to the Davey O'Brien award.

For the stat lovers:

Dak: 260/393 (66.3), 3159, 23:3, plus 478 rushing and 9 TDs
Watson: 241/344 (70.1), 2944, 26:10, plus 642 rushing and 6 TDs
Mayfield: 226/329 (68.7), 3209, 33:5 plus 343 rushing and 6 TDs

Total offense is 3637, 3586, and 3552.
IF the award is predicated on the best QB regardless of team ranking, it probably goes to Dak with a stellar performance in the Egg Bowl. It helps that he saved his best game for the last game before the finalists are announced. Mayfield had his worst against TCU last Saturday.
Of note, Dak has won one of their "QB of the Week" awards this season. Mayfield has 2. I expect Dak will garner his second tomorrow considering his career day against Arkansas.

I could see where those 3 are finalists, any could win, but my vote is with dak if there's a successful game this week.

well, ive been told dak is just a fullback playing qb....so whats the difference? 3000 yards passing and a plethora of sec and msu records is clearly a fluke.
