Trev Alberts
There seems to be a LOT of animosity towards Trev from many fans here, and realistically, I don't know if UNL would go that route. Regardless of what Trev has done at UNO, good or bad, I hope fans can remember that Trev is a Nebraska guy through and through, pretty sure he wants the program to have major success. This has been an interesting day to say the least.

I'm sure he does want the program to have major success. That doesn't mean I want him to be the AD. I have no animosity towards anything he's done at UNO-I couldn't care less what happens with their athletic department. It's that he is quite simply unqualified to be the AD at a major university. He only got the UNO job because of his Nebraska connections in the first place. No other major university would even think of hiring him. He checks one box and one box only-former Husker football player. We need more than that. If there were a successful athletic department administrator at a major university out there who was a former Husker football player-then I would be all for hiring them. But that isn't Trev Alberts.

We shall see what transpires in the coming days/months. Like I said, I don't know if UNL goes with Trev, although they might interview him just for the sake of interviewing him.
