Guy takes amazing photos but this one might be his best
Guy obviously knows what he's doing but looks really processed. Colors too pumped up or something. Sure some photoshop pro could say what he did.

Yep, it’s HDR (high dynamic range). Take a three shot burst (high, medium, low) dynamic range (dynamic range the difference between the darkest shadows and the brightest whites) and then combine them with the computer program. Looks great when done correctly, but often looks cartoonish like the photo above.

It looks like a composite. The sky doesn't match the rest of the scene nor do the shadows match the direction of the sun. There are also gaps around the top left trees where the color of the sky wasn't overlayed well.Guy obviously knows what he's doing but looks really processed. Colors too pumped up or something. Looks like the bales have been setting out for about three weeks by the color of the grass. Can't imagine agood Nebraska farmer leaving hay in the field that long. Maybe South DakotaGuy takes amazing photos but this one might be his best
Then again, he's an amateur photographer. If he's having fun sharing his shots then I think it's great. I do have my opinions on the overuse of Photoshop.
Definitely, and didn’t mean to sound snarky. When it comes to this sort of things everybody has their own opinion. And you’re correct, he’s not a professional and he’s not claiming he is.
Was simply explaining the technique for those who may be interested.

If you took it that way, I apologize. I knew what you were trying to say. I just find it that there's all these amazing digital pics out there. Unfortunately, they don't look much like that in person and it kind of bugs me.
