I don't know how much NIL he's getting from MD, but with a supposed 10 million available I might offer him over a million - a perfect fit for Pike's defensive scheme IMO, and a NJ & Rutgers connection, and we were involved with him the first time around.

I know he was a 5 star but now is not the time to bring basically another potential guy...id actually prefer keeping powers mark and Francis over bringing in that guy who didn't want to be at Rutgers despite his sister's legacy and Rutgers pursuing him. Might as well bring in some adults..21-23 year old players if you're going to pay over 1,000,000..

I like Powers and Mark but I think he is better than both of them right now and has more potential than both, and Mark might leave anyway. I don't hold it against him that he picked someone over Rutgers.

Guessing his pedigree will keep him out of our price range but I mean sure if he wants to come...

Lol he will make big bucks at Maryland or elsewhere in better situations
Hey Bac, is Md a better situation? Their NIL is limited, they just lost to us, finished below us in the Big 10, and no one goes to games, and their coach left because of what he thought was a lack of commitment to the program.

yes they have more money and a top class signed., dont get fooled by Marylands terrible season in Buzz first year arriving late and them having injuries.if he doesnt choose to be there he will get better offers at better schools than Rutgers

Number 1, I don't think he gets huge offers. Number 2, how do you know MD will have more NIL money next year for men's basketball than we will have, and how do you know what their plans are to distribute what money they do have? With a great incoming class and the return of Pharyl Payne Darius might not be a huge priority for them. You're not in their heads.

We need men on this team. We can’t have a team of skinny guys afraid of the weight room no matter how good they are.

I spoke to numerous MD fans when they visited and they all were not thrilled and said "I cannot believe he was a 5-star. He plays like a 3-star."

I have always thought he was a bit overrated, going back to his soph year in HS. His shooting #'s are bad and I really didn't notice much improvement in him as the year went on. That said, he does play with a little bit of an edge, you can probably do worse than having him, but wouldn't spend a ton on him.

I like Darius but agree that the transfers we bring in have to be 22 years old and up.

Maryland is better situated than Rutgers going forward. I am basing that historically, their incoming class, their current coach and returning roster and their UA money to help NIL in the future and that they are a basketball school not football school. They are one year removed from spending alot on a team that made it into the tourney...willard bitching because he doesnt want to be at a school that plays big boy football doesnt change anything
