Great read. I love that he worked with those pros over the summer. Maybe Oz can tell us if that was arranged by coach or if Dan did that on his own. Maybe something to do with his older brother?

I like that he seems to think of UConn as home. You wonder about the similarities with Kevin Ollie, another kid from LA who came to UConn and has made it his home ever since. I think it is people more than geography. You feel like someplace is home when all your family and friends are there. This is really important in building team chemistry.

I also like what he said about Shonn Miller defensively. If Miller can cover guys like Marcus Kennedy it takes a lot of pressure off Brimah who can then roam and become a one man zone like Emeka Okafor used to be. I think UConn upgraded in the areas where they were the weakest last year, although I will be interested to see if Gibbs adds more to the point guard position than Boatright did.

My dude... It is always encouraged by Coach but it was DHam not CoCh who arranged it just encouraged/allowed it
