You must not be familiar with this board, there are a group of posters who will act like it is the end of the world if it doesn’t happen right now.

We all know who that is! LOL

Sigh. If you have an opportunity to add more expertise, you do it. It doesn’t mean that Satterfield is getting judged on what would have been (had nobody left) 2022’s 4th and 5th string qb, 3rd and 4th string RB, and 2nd and 3rd string WRs can do in Satts offense. But maybe you weren’t paying attention?
well, proof will be in the pudding in 2024. I know there were personnel issues for sure as well as crappy QB issues…
But, if you watched the play calls and think that’s some effective or innovative offense then you really don’t know football.
Rhule is looking to add an offensive mind as analyst or whatever so clearly he understands we need some additional help.
I am not a wet blanket, I just know what I am looking at and feel like our offense is a huge liability. I’ll give it another year but then guys will make excuses like they did for Frost. It’s to the point where these guys make enough money that they need to win or be shown the door. By Rhule looking around for offensive help it seems that he gets it, which I like.
And if you ask, what offense do you like… look at the Detoit Lions… I love that OC and his plays. I like the USC offense. Oregons offense. Tennessee.

Play calling is the only thing guys like us (you and me) can criticize. Because the other stuff is way the heck over our heads.
Yup, I defended Frost. Because he was the coach of my favorite team, and I thought he understood the culture. Sue me.
I was wrong. The only part of the culture he understood is that when you are the BMOC, you can get all the booze and tail that you want. Which in Frost’s case…

I’d reckon playcalling is over most people’s heads as well unless you’re the eye in the sky and fully understand what’s going on.

True, which is why Holgorsen would be a good addition if he comes here. Wasn’t a good HC but knows offense. I loved the Frost hire myself until in late year 2 we were worse than year 1 and I knew we had issues. It all is optimism until it isn’t. I am optimistic right now, but know we need to have a better offense. We saw the improvement on D, we need the jump on O.
Maybe it’s all because we need a good QB?
Time will tell
