The context was completely missed. The subject was definitely true freshmen and their performance and future to the program. No sense in even mentioning Mullen.

Well, he’s not absolutely wrong or anything, but he also doesn’t deserve a ton of credit. Mullen left some talent, but no depth.

I’d argue that Mullen left the WR cupboard pretty bare. They made it sound like Mullen was a super recruiter. He signed a couple of big recruits. Found quite a few under evaluated players. Developed some. But super recruiter?

We all understand what Mullen left and what he didn’t. To the viewers watching who aren’t State fans (agreeably, not vary many), they could easily interpret it as Joe walked into a roster full of 3 deep-4&5 stars. Dan deserves no credit for anything the way he bailed. The reaction HIS players had when he walked in and announced it and left made me lose any respect I had for him.
