Dakich seems like a sorry excuse of a human who constantly is trying to cause drama because he's not the IU head coach, which he seriously thinks he deserves to be.

LOL. When he's right he's right. And any Anti-IUsetobe Hoosier diatribe which repeats the phrase "1987" several times is certainly amusing to me. NINETEEN (clap clap) EIGHTY (clap clap) SEVEN (clap clap clap.)

Even more amusing - a Thread on their Rivals board wondering if they got rid of Clappy the Clown too soon. When your fan base is missing Creepy Crean, the new guy's honeymoon is over.

I actually enjoyed his commentary during the Bahamas trip but otherwise do not usually listen to him.

Everyone here should be okay with dackich. He treats Uk fair and generally has good things to say about Cal. He also gives IU a hard time. They hate him because he actually says they suck, unlike most of their fan base who think every year is the year finally.

Everything he said was spot on. Even praises Cal twice.

And, said the Langfords didn’t like Cal bc he didn’t play Romeo very much & wouldn’t kiss their asses when he coached him on the US team. Kinda backs up the opinions of those fans who think Cal is missing on some kids bc he won’t play the bs games or tell them what they wanna hear.

I have only watched IU one time this year and Dakich is right. Langford would struggle for playing time at UK, don't see the flare for this guy. Archie is out of his league, he needs to run back to a mid major before he gets fired imo.

As long as he is dissing IU, I have no problem with him. He actually was fun to talk to in the Bahamas.

I gotta give credit to Dakich for one thing, the dude has HUMONGOUS balls, more so than any other commentator out there today. He is never afraid to say what he wants, because he just does not seem to care whether others like him or not.

I've heard him do this sort of thing several times, and on an INDY radio station, where nearly all his listeners are IU fans, he'll rip the hell out IU (his own former team), declare why they're inferior to UK, piss all his listeners off, yet does not care.

And, fwiw, he's actually been very complementary of UK and Cal in recent years, far more so than he is with other teams. Yeah, he's criticized us on occasion (as he does with every team), but he seems to like us more than he does most (and, boy, is that ever starting to annoy his listeners).

Nice tirade.

I hope no one in the Indiana basketball powers that be or even fans listen to a word of it because they might get better if they did.

Dakich seems to love Cal and Cal's ability to coach these young kids.

He also mentioned about how Cal utilized Knox, and why the heck doesn't IU do it. etc. etc.

Dakich is 100% better than any ESPN analyst, including Bilas. He tells the truth and don't sugar coat crap. He ripped Crean a new *** many times for the Hoosiers lack of effort and they deserved it. Is he a prick? Yep and doesn't deny it... but he knows basketball and isn't a BS artist. As for blocking asses on media... I'll block you if you annoy me on my social media. He does the same, bet you do too..So what?.

Hard to take him serious when you know he is just salty that the head coach isn’t an “Indiana guy”

Hard to argue with him. And clearly he’s lobbying for Alford.

IU during the 70's, 80's & early 90's could rival any basketball program in the country, including us. But now they have been so bad for so long, that I've come to the conclusion. That the Indiana we've seen over the last 25 years is as good as they will ever be. And it couldn't happen to a more deserving fan base.

With the right coach IU will win big. They need aPitino or a Cal hire. I dont think Miller is going to get it done i said on here he's not a huge upgrade from Crean. They have to pay more than 3m.. id offer Billy D 6-8 mil next year

I always got the impression that Dakich wasn't a big fan of Knight.

He's not. Apparently they haven't spoken in many years.

But he clearly is a fan of his former teammates and players he coached during those.years. He goes to bat for those guys, but not Knight.

Next big coaching hire by a blue blood will be Pearl. Everyone else has turned down big time offers. (Donovan, Few, Wright) I can see Self going to Uncheats, Capel going back to Duke( he'll last 4-5 years). I don't know who we would get when Cal retires. Who would want that kind of pressure? Maybe Nevada's coach?
