That sucks. COVID, right?

[Go Budaw]

Yes.

[jethreauxdawg]

Met him once

He wanted me to tell him how much money I was willing to spend before he would tell me how much the rent was at a particular place. We didn’t reach an agreement.

[hotdogface]

No single person had a more positive impact on Starkville.

[ArcherSPS]

Agreed, Dan was always very cool when I rented from him. I feel like if a lot of folks would’ve just took a chance to talk with him, they would’ve been big fans.

[paindonthurt_]

I liked dan but he could be a prick.

He was 80 and the last time I saw him he didn’t look good.

Sorry he passed.

[codeDawg]

There aren’t very many people who loved Starkville and made a difference like Dan in recent memory. RIP.

I was once late on rent. His secretary/director was a ball busting b$%^h. She's giving me the business, and he calls out from his office "Is that tenureplan, send him back here." I then received an hour lecture on responsibility before he waived the late fee. Felt like a few I got from grampa.

His secretary/director was a ball busting b$%^h..

Don't talk **** about Annie. She just doesn't put up with deadbeats.* She bought my living room furniture when I moved out. Microsuede was irresistible in the early 2000's...

Dan was always cool. My apartment was overlooking the pool and faced his house. Never said a word to me in a year, but always nodded and waved like we were best friends... I guess it was the mutual respect we had for each other's hours of daily dedication to watching the girls at the pool in the summer.

What a view... Thanks Dan and RIP.

The story was fantastic, you got a thumbs up even though you called me a deadbeat

[tenureplan]

Has she laid claim to all of his properties yet? Is Dan Moreland still kicking?

[houstonutsack]

Moreland's son is around who is a pretty class act guy.

[G-Dawg]

Annie knew everyone's name, how to properly spell it, where you lived. This woman should have been director of the CIA.
