Speaking of steaks in Starkville, has anybody ever had one from Azlin's? I think there is one somewhere in the delta and there was supposed to be one in the Holiday Inn project that fell through in that vacant lot next to Chick fil a. Its name was on the shopping center sign there for a long time. It still may be on there.

So, you’re suggesting that it took twenty years for the summer slump to catch up with City Bagel? Local population is what kept City Bagel in business for two decades. The management/ownership change killed City Bagel.

I fail to see how this supports your argument that the summer population decrease is what hurt City Bagel. City Bagel has always been a favorite among locals. They did well for twenty years. Suddenly, and coincidentally, after an ownership change, they struggle to survive in the summer?

It would be interesting to see the number of restaurants in 1999 vs 2019. I don’t think the number has doubled. I know the number of restaurants in my regular rotation hasn’t doubled. There’s definitely been an increase, but several have closed too.
