Damian Williams officially redshirts...

[dawgstudent]

Curious as to what he does next season. He will possibly graduate and have 2 years to play without sitting out.

Even if he doesn't graduate, he could transfer to I-AA and have 2 years to play. I kind of think he stays and finishes out his career as a backup. Either way, he's given us a lot when we really needed it and is on my list of good Bulldogs.

I think it's smart to keep him around simply because you never know what the other QBs are thinking (e.g. someone else transfers).

If everyone else returns, I'd love to see him switch positions to maybe an h-back type role. He's got a good stocky build - not sure he's got much speed though.

He tweeted tons get about how much he likes where he is. He might be the kind of guy who just wants to be a bulldog, no matter what. I hope so.

Williams can do whatever he wants, I'll support him. He was never going to be the man for a full season but he really came through for us in a big way at Arkansas in 2013. I'll never forget that clutch OT run. He kept us in the game vs Ole Miss that year too.

I think he is that kind of guy. It will be his choice whether he stays or transfers. And I'm grateful for what he's done for us on the field and the way he's represented us off the field either way.
