Seeing Dame's shot made me recall feelings I had during the 2017 season. I often felt Monk getting across mid court and then chucking a 3 with confidence would be better offense than what we could generate from running plays for 20 seconds. The marksmanship some players have from 3 is astounding.

Lillard is just built to score the ball and he does it efficiently. Westbrook is a great player but he’s a volume scorer.

Westbrook is the most overrated player in the league. Tonight he gets 29 points on 31 shots. Lol that’s terrible. And 3 straight 1st round exits now. But the triple double though!!
I’m not a Westbrook fan but the guy averaged a triple double for three straight years when people said no one could do it for one year after Oscar R.

There are few players in the NBA that get's on my nerves more than Westbrook. He has the worst attitude of anyone and always seems mad. I don't see why anyone would want to be on the same team as Westbrook.

He's always been better. Westbrook's is like a diva WR. He is only there for stats. If he wants to win he will have to change his style imo. He's got the stats thing so it's time for him to start considering his legacy or he is going to be like Melo kicking around with no home here in a year or 2.

Damn. I finally went to bed last night instead of staying up to watch this game. Will have to see the highlights. I love Dame.

I think Billy Donovan may be on the hot seat after this loss.

Stayed up and watched that game. I wondered what Lillard was doing by draining the clock and not initiating any offense as the seconds ticked by. Guess he knew exactly what he was doing as that was an incredible shot

An amazing shot. When he started the shooting motion, I thought... what a bad shot LOL. But hey, it will go down as an iconic NBA shot.

I had forgotten that Lillard was a unanimous NBA rookie of the year in the same year that AD was a rookie. He's a little hidden up there in the great northwest.....

I can never get over how an elite NBA backcourt came from Weber State and Lehigh. Guys like Lillard, McCollum, Curry, Paul George, and Morant show that even with the AAU scene players can still slip through the cracks.

I think a lot of people also don't realize Dame was all-nba first team last season.

Fans here in Portland are going apesh*t. Understandably.

It is not so much slipping through the cracks as it is maturing later than the other talent. It is putting in the work to get better rather than resting on one’s laurels.

Look at Ben Simmons. Good ball player that has yet to expand his game - no 3 pointers in his NBA career. He does not work on it.

Absolutely. He’s a much more efficient player than Westbrook. Westbrook shot 36% from the field in this series. Westbrook is at best the 5th best PG in the league IMO. Curry, Dame, Harden, Kyrie all ahead of him.
False. Russ was on McCollum a lot yesterday and McCollum was locked u for majority of the night. Yall going to act like Westbrook didn't hit some big shots to get them back in the game or put them up big.
