Two Huskers scoring in double figures in the NBA today. Stat hounds, when was the last time that happened?

Roby put up 13 off the bench in a huge comeback win over the Lakers. Banton scored 10 off the bench to help the Raptors beat the Pacers.

Nice to see both players contributing. Roby even started a game.

I never thought Banton would get a sniff in the NBA because of his turnover issues. Heck, he got benched the second half of the year last year for poor play! Good for him for overcoming his issues...

I thought Banton wouldn't get a sniff because his shot couldn't hit water from a boat. A quick google search reveals that the Toronto press is in love with him and he's basically the Raptors' 6th man at this point. Consider me impressed.

There's a big difference between being a college player and a pro player. All he has to do now is be in the gym. He's a native Canadian so that is some of the affection for Banton. Good for him. I do also believe that COVID knocked him on his *** last year and that affected his play. He's in a great spot with the Raptors. The pressure and expectations for him coming off the bench are not big and he won't be forcing drives or shots in the NBA like he did in college.

He was born in Toronto so not surprised they love the him. Awesome to see him making an impact for the hometown team.

At one point Nebraska had more guys in the NBA than any other Big 8 school so it may have happened before but it was more than 20 years ago.
