I will say a part of me thought the team was maybe better without Bagley. Right before he went out, it didn't look as if the team was having fun, and that's even before the loss to the Holes. Maybe they felt pressure to not lose, I don't really know.
During his injury though, the team looked to be having fun. It seemed everyone knew their role, and Grayson seemed to get his mojo back. There was even a moment after the home beat down against VT, I think, where after the game Carter came and jokingly got into Grayson's on court interview with Maria Taylor from ESPN. Add to it what the analysts were saying about the team made me wonder, not going to lie.
What changed fully for me was the on court hug Marvin gave Grayson after beating Carolina. There IS a connection with the team. I should never have thought that. Bagley is a great talent and teammate, not selfish at all, just has probably had to learn that this isn't high school, and his teammates are not chumps.
