Saying he can see why duke was better without him. Said he's about himself. Said when he gets the ball he ain't passing. Also said he doesn't play defense.

He’s brutally honest. I’m surprised and coaches players haven’t protested to have him fired.

If he keeps disparaging a Duke player, ESPN will fire him.
He DGAF and I love it but I agree, he better watch the ACC circle jerk coming thru with the pitchforks. Only a matter of time before they ship him off with Bill Walton. I love how the only kind of commentary that is even on ESPN for halftime shows or college game day is ALL pro Duke/ACC :flush:

That's what we call "trashing" someone? What he said was a fact. Bagley is a defensively liability. When the ball goes to him it seldomly comes back out. That's a correct assessment.
I’m not disagreeing at all. I’m just saying I’m stunned that he hasn’t received a ton of backlash by thin skinned coaches and players. That’s extremely unusual these days.

Careful @crawfords corner. It's dangerous to be an honest man this day in age. You'll melt too many snowflakes out there don't ya know?! You only start trashing people when somebody's momma gets involved lol

He is correct about bagely being a black hole. Guy doesn't pass like he's Kobe.

The networks must have paged him, he was immediately trying to backtrack. He also sounded off on certain commentators who are very pro-Duke. Basically told everyone watching that it's almost criminal to not kiss Duke's ***.

My favorite part of Dakich’s Bagley rant wasn’t even Dakich. It was the play by play guy (Shulman I think) trying to take up for Duke and Bagley and failing miserably. Shulman didn’t know whether to crap or go blind. He’s so use to Bilas and Vitale slurping Duke and K, he was freaking out. Lmao

I like Dakich on the commentary. He’s probably the best espn has right now. He knows the game and tells you exactly what he sees. You may not like it, but it’s honesty which is refreshing in our current times. His Twitter on the other hand is down right trollish.

We know from the nba draft thread I'm a big Bagley guy. defensively he isn't Anthony Davis and he never will be but Duke would of won tonight if Bagley got 20 shots. hell they might of won if he just got 10 shots. The people calling him a black hole he's one of the most efficient scorers in college basketball he doesn't shoot enough. They lost tonight because Grayson took 18 shots, went 4-15 from 3, and had 6 turnovers. They held Tech to 64 they should be able to easily win at that number. I know Cal doesn't "negative" recruit, but the fact we aren't saying look at Tatum, look at Bagley, hell Trevon Duval was benched for Delaurier that K doesn't use the superstars correctly. I'm getting more and more excited to see them play next year I think they are going to struggle.

I don't think K's ego will allow OAD to thrive at his program. We will see how far this team will go, and ultimately who stays and who goes, and how k will meld the ton of ego coming next year. That is the main difference between k and Cal. Cal is safe in his ego that he makes it about them and never himself...that's why Cal is successful doing this vs we will see how k handles his legacy

I'm not a big Bagley guy, though I'd fall more into the category of "just not convinced yet he's going to be a superstar" than "oh yeah, he's going to be a bust", but you're right about last night. Allen hit some shots early, but then it was all Gracie all the time, while Bagley (and Carter) kind of just stood around. Allen took more THREES than Bagley and Carter had FG attempts COMBINED.

That loss falls squarely on Allen's shoulders, combined with the fact that, miracle of miracles, Duke had one badly missed call go against them (when the refs missed the hold on Carter off Duval's missed FT), and one possible one (foul on Allen's final shot) that they didn't get.

Duke's two strengths don't match.

They are at their best with the ball in Allen's hands as a scorer and facilitator.

But their two best players, and the way they are at their most efficient, is feeding it inside to Bagley and Carter, which is their advantage over all but about three teams in the country.

Ideally, they'd have a point guard who could run the show, feed the big men, and find Allen for easy shots. But instead they sold out for Tre Duval, who no one else would touch even if he had more than 20 high school credits.

It's why they were better with Bagley on the bench even though he's their best player. Allen was needed to carry the scoring load and then find either Carter on the block or Trent on the wing. He shoots too much to have another mouth to feed, and he's not a point guard. So on nights when his shot isn't falling, they're going home.

That’s a pretty good assessment. They have tons of talent but zero team balance. 3 score first guards and 2 post players.

With the season winding down they will all be playing for their draft position.
I believe all 4 frosh that start have already decided they are going pro and will now try to be the man to improve draft position.
Carter and bagley are for sure gone. No way in hell duval and trent coming back with the 4 studs coming in next year.
Neither would start next year and they know that.
Hope like hell they continue this play and go out early again.
