I realize he can get drafted an get a GREAT payday, but does he really expect to play anytime soon? It seemed like every time he got the ball he either traveled or got blocked. Hope he does well but I can't seem him playing in the NBA anytime soon.

Hmmm,
Guys raise your hand if you think just because you get drafted in the second round or even get picked up by a team as an undrafted free agent means your getting millions? I'd like to see the results lol.

I think most people are confused because of his obvious dropoff this year. If he had even maintained his level from freshman year, it would make more sense.

Yea they are picky about not posting enough here. I just think he would benefit from having a year where he could get 20 min a game and learn to use angles better. Also that would help with his defense and eliminating some of those dumb touch fouls he gets called for.

I suppose we could be appreciative of what these players contributed to the program and wish them continued success in the NBA.

....OR we could take the OPs approach and rip them on their way out. Our fans can really be as pathetic as they are predictable.

and why does this matter? go take a look at last years draft picks and see how much they played. you think they care since they were still cashing those fat checks?

he will make millions over the next 3-4 years and if that is all he does...he goes to europe and make millions more.

better development in the pros and its a better style of play. can you see that?

The millions is valid however I don't think the style of play benefits him at all. Quicker game with more athletic bigs. Maybe he will find his niche in grabbing boards and getting to the line

I bet he spends more years on an NBA roster than 3 or 4 of the others leaving.

He may not get the big endorsements and huge second contract, but I have a hunch he will stick around and play for half the teams in the league at some point in his career. He has a durable build, and has "bench big" written all over him.

if that is the case....that is something that will never change. so might as well go and get the money now before he gets hurt and has his game picked apart further.

Dakari is one of the nicest kids we have ever had here period! Great kid and individual, raised the right way and his parents should be extremely proud of him.
What is going on with him is his mind is going faster than his body can move. He needs to start boxing or something and work on his explosiveness and agility. I'd love to work out with him and feed him a big bowl of the feed they give chickens to muscle them up. If I was coach I'd make him wear those 10 lb weights on his ankles everywhere lol

Great kid but I will be surprised if he gets drafted after doing his workouts.
Will not be getting a big payday in the D league unless he impresses someone.

If you were the coach, BleedingBlue, I suspect that you would have taught Dakari some simple post moves -- which he clearly does not have. Truly unfortunate.
