According to schefty. No big surprise, I guess.

I hate it for Dak, he deserves better. But when the Jones stupidly gave Zeke a 6 year deal 2 years before they had to, this move was inevitable if they also hoped to bring Cooper back. There will be a new CBA after the 2020 season in which the Salary Cap will be raised a good bit giving the ‘boys or another team the money they need to pay Dak what he deserves AND still put good weapons around him. But this doesn’t happen if they don’t cave on Zeke.
Dak is asking for Mahomes money ($40M/year). He's not going to get it, but he's asking for it. What's crazy is that Dallas could have gotten him for 25-28M/year before the season started. They rolled the dice and Dak won.

I think Dak is asking for a 4 year deal where Dallas wants to lock him up for a longer term before Mahomes resets the market. Dallas has low balled him below Goff and Wentz money every time even though Dak has outperformed those guys. Dallas is throwing out the rumors that Dak wants that money to keep the fans on the Jones side rather than Dak's side of things. Jerry is probably one of the worst owners in sports when it comes to making good long term decisions. If everyone wasn't against it, Jerry would have drafted Johnny Football and then the total collapse of Dallas football would have been complete.
Hate when players sit out but if I were him I would!! Can’t they franchise him 2 years. Like WTH they overpay Zeke then expect Dak not to want to get paid?
Watch Dallas trade Dak during the draft for some picks including one of the 1st round Qbs about to be taken.

They can franchise tag him 2 years, then transition tag him a 3rd year which essentially allows him to hit the open market and force Dallas to match any offer.
yeah but this year's QB's are garbage.....
I think so too. Just don’t think McCarthy is sold on him
I’d like to see Dak in Chicago
Yeah, trading a FA doesn't work
So people are upset for dak for getting $32 million?
Bold prediction, considering Dak is a free agent.Watch Dallas trade Dak during the draft for some picks including one of the 1st round Qbs about to be taken.
So that tells me he’s on pace to get close to what people are saying he’s worth
Assuming....
Decent year next year
$34 million next year
Signs a 4 year deal worth $35 to $40 plus million after that
I mean that’s not way off what people are saying he’s worth
A team can franchise tag a player for one year and he cannot sign with anyone else, and the team has to pay him the average of the top 5 salaries at his position. Every subsequent year a team tags that player, the pay increases by about 30%. I think a team can only tag a player for 3 years, one at a time. Will someone explain franchise tag to me like I'm 10 years old?
If you can franchise tag a free agent can you not also trade him?
