He's good, probably not that good. Jerruh overpaid.

Despite being a Cowboy, he seems like a good guy.

If Jerry overpaid, and I don't agree that he did, then guess whose fault that is.... Jerry's. He's been behind in this negotiation from the start, and the market price has been going up every year. And he's been paying out his *** for him on the franchise tag meanwhile. But Jerry's worth like 10 billion, so save your tears. He doesn't care. Chump change and with the Cowboys revenue stream he's in the black regardless.

The problem eventually becomes the salary cap. I don't doubt that Jurry is trying to do a trade deal right now with the Texans. There is a high degree of doubt in my mind that Dak will come back 100% from the injury he sustained. Jurry should be trying to move him now before other teams know that to be the case. Before the injury Dak wasn't a premier starter in this league. He's a similar QB to Cousins IMO. They're never going to win enough.

Jerry over paid for Zeke, for sure, and now slightly for Dak. Salary cap will not be their friend soon. I need that guy to quit, it's time to let his son run things.

Well he included a no trade clause so that’s not happening.

On the bright side, it pretty much guarantees the Cowboys won't be winning a Super Bowl in the next 4 years. Stay irrelevant.

Dak, Amari and Zeke all rollin in money. Draft another WR in the 1st rd a year ago. Oline broke down and none of it matters.
Defense will be eternally terrible. It’s as if nobody has watched New England over the last 20 years...........
I’m a Dak fan but these deals are just crushing to roster development. Good for Dak though. Now restructure Zeke, demarcus Lawrence and Jaylon, I look like I’m running faster than I really am, Smith.

Guarantee every owner, GM, and defensive coordinator in the NFC east loves this signing. Watch in year 3 Dak complain how they didn't surround him with enough talent....while he fails to mention his contract ate up all their cap space.

They should have cut Zeke.
In a league where RBs are disposable, it’s borderline criminal to give out a contract like that to a tailback. It’s not about the cutting, it’s about having the intelligence on the front end to not make such a horrific signing. And I mean horrific. Draft a tailback in the 3rdish rd every other year and pivot that money to the Oline or front 7.

Lots of money to pay to be able to compete for an 8-8 season at best.

You remember how tough Dallas' OLine was a few years ago? (when Callahan was there)

This is what happens when a geriatric billionaire with oil-man "no one tells me no!" tendencies is making all the decisions. It's gonna get really, really ugly for the Cowboys before Jerry is done. He's the new Al Davis.

This is actually a 6 year contract I heard

And the Cowboys have the right to renogiate the terms not the amount at anytime.

He has a full no trade in the deal

pretty much. Cowboys last won a playoff game 25 years ago. Jerruh, what's the problem here? Um, just write bigger checks.

Not a good deal in my eyes as a 50 year Cowboy fan.

He has a pocket full of change though...

Dak will make 108 million in 16 months

This includes his previous franchise tag of 32.

He already has a 50 million dollar endorsement deal.

Props to Dak.

He makes more money than Mahomes.

Yeah. But did you hear about the time when his credit cards were cut up at Love Field?
P1ers will get that one.

Has he even been a top 5 qb, like ever? Even top 10?

Not a Cowboy fan so I could be off but in his career he has had Zeke, Amari, one of the best O-lines, and was what? 10-6?? Worse normally? One playoff berth, a loss....I don't get why all the talking heads are now acting like Dak just became a top 5 QB because he got paid like it. I don't get it.

Yep, when Dak and Zeke were on their rookie deals. Front office learned absolutely nothing from that success. Jerry is always chasing shiny things. **** is exhausting.

13-3 in 2016. He is 1-2 in the playoffs. Oline was injured and horrifying last year and he was keeping them in games until the injury. I’m a fan of Dak on the field, just not the salary. Outside of maybe Rodgers, Allen, Mahomes, Brady and Wilson, I’m comfortable putting Dak in the next tier with Watson, Murray and maybe a couple of others. Definitely not interested in arguing about it though.

He's in the right division for potential future success that's for sure. Train wreck and very winnable with no great QB's.

I encourage anyone who is either a fan or not a fan of the Cowboys to check out the fake Jerry Jones on the interwebs. It’s pure gold!!
