After reading the article and living in Texas....the artist lost all credibility with me when I saw he had a fine arts degree from Sam Houston State... fine arts and Sam Houston State should never ever be used in the same sentence.

Dude Trump owns your brain and is playing with it like a cheap toy. You've fallen into the same trap as the media.

Requiring players to stand for the Anthem does not violate the guarantees of the First Amendment, but it is a restriction on speech.

No, it is not. It is nothing more than a requirement to perform the duties and observe the policies for which they are paid. They are not restricted outside of work hours.

They are no more restricted than I am from expressing my personal beliefs by going to my office, or a client's office, standing on my desk and expressing my political opinion for everyone to see or hear.

I can do it without fear of being arrested, but I would almost assuredly by fired, and justifiably.

Edited to correct. I wrongly accused you of being an unhinged, triggered snowflake like D61. I sincerely apologize for lumping you in with the D61.

No, but silencing freedom of speech -- even if legally allowed -- kind of cuts against our core Constitutional beliefs as a nation and is effectively un-American. Requiring players to stand for the Anthem does not violate the guarantees of the First Amendment, but it is a restriction on speech.

Then we get into the constantly circular argument: Refusing to stand for the Anthem is un-American, but so is requiring someone to stand for the Anthem; so then, is it un-American to complain about people requiring their employees to stand for the anthem? What about the employer's free speech rights?

The First Admendment is violated all the time by our government. Ever been in the military? Does a person's employer allow them to say anything they want to?

Nope I'm a Trumpster but just calling it like it is. The guy is the best I ever saw at rattling his opposition's cages to the point they become irrational and dysfunctional. D61 has got it bad and can't shake it.

Making America great again! Lot of work to do after Obama and the liberals screwed us up so badly. Remarkable how much he's been able to accomplish despite the usual lock-step liberal opposition.

Not shocked one bit you're an unhinged, triggered snowflake *****. How's that for short and sweet, snowflake?

Lil Sebastian’s very large penis is a joke from a sitcom involving a mini horse, but no, there’s nothing ironic about a double reply calling me unhinged and a snowflake for a sitcom reference....

Unhinged...triggered....snowflake...*****.

TDS is strong with this one. Irresponsible people like this are quite possibly going to lead to more assassination attempts.

Pathetic.

America never stopped being great. You can't make America great AGAIN without bringing up America's racist and sexist past with it. So when you are nostalgic for an older time period you get lumped in with also being nostalgic for a more racist sexist society and now you've aligned yourself with that to the world's perception for the rest of your life. Perception is reality. Enjoy that. Nazis didn't know they were gonna be looked at so negatively when they took over Poland either.

1. Get out is phenomenal.

2. If you’re tired of hearing about the issue, vote against Trump or encourage Jerry to sell the Cowboys, they’re the ones pushing it.

3. Jerry put Dak in this position. He put a young quarterback in this position by making it all about Jerry’s politics and pushing Dak (and Zeke) to say exactly the same thing he is.

Since when do Young Turksters believe in conspiracy theories?

Unhinged...triggered...snowflake...*****.

So one can't look back to times in America's history when certain things were better, including pride in the many great things this country has represented and accomplished, without also condoning the bad parts.

Only a moronic, unhinged, triggered snowflake ***** would think supporting Trump is the equivalent of supporting racism or fascism. Even more ironic is your radical, left wing unhinged party is the one that is actually closer to Nazi's (National Socialist Party) and fascism. Yours is the party more closely associated with book-burning by trying to silence the voice of opposition, including by violent means.

Baby boomers all think their generation is the greatest. Must be some weird 17ed up self hate thing causing them to constantly be trying to get back to that time period or to live up to the expectations of being kids/grandkids to the WW2 generation.

You just keep posting one ignorant post after another. I think most generations have some element about them that has contributed positively to society.

The "baby-boomer" generation were not filled with self-hate. Your interpretation is complete BS.

If you want to see a group of people that "self-hate" our country, look no further than liberals like yourself.

Your side, including many of your elected representatives, have set new lows for demonizing the opposition. I suspect you never stop to think about the consequences of your actions. You incite riots, you incite violence against those with whom you disagree politically, you seek to silence the voice of your opposition, etc.

Just what do you people think is going to happen if and when you next get a Democrat elected president? You think those of us on the right are going to forget how you reacted?

Here's a question for you. How will you feel if the next liberal assassination attempt is a successful one on Trump?

Why the 17 is this thread not locked?

Because Trumpster babies must have a thread to whine and cry their faux victimhood in so might as well leave one up for them to dump their feelings into. Lock this one and a new woe is Dak thread will be up in two days.
