Should be. Top 7-14 qb (depending on the week), but cowboy fans are crazy. They would be fools to bounce him.

Since 2016, only Tom Brady has won more games than Prescott in the NFL.

I feel the same way about Joe Flacco 6 or 7 years ago as I do Dak. He can win you games and he can take you all the way, but he's not going to will an average team into winning the same way Brees, Peyton, Favre, Brady, etc. can/could. Tom Brady takes pedestrian rosters to the Super Bowl (Deion Branch = Super Bowl MVP). Cowboys can't buy a playoff win.

If you're the Cowboys you're more or less forced to sign him for whatever he asks, because the alternative is having to start over with an unsure thing. Imagine knowing you're starting Josh Rosen this year!

And none of this is shitting on Dak, he's a starting-caliber QB in the NFL. At any given moment in history there are only about 20 of those who exist on the planet. Dak finally wised up and dumped his small time agent and signed with CAA. Take a look at their other QB clients, they need to get him paid to get their other clients continuously higher contracts. He'll get paid.

If Eli Manning can win a Super Bowl, Dak damn sure can. Eli has played 6 great

weeks of football in his career.

Trying to remove my maroon glasses...

But I’d say he is better than Flacco, and that is a tremendous leap between Flacco and those others you mentioned, who are all legends of the game. Also, none of those guys looked as good in their first three years as Dak did. Not Saying Dak is as good or better than those guys, I’m just saying it’s not fair to compare him to their prime years.

Ever since Flacco signed his big contract he has been locked into the worst td/int ration in the NFL during that time frame, if I’m not mistaken.

The one thing that helped out Dak early on was having a work horse RB. If he doesn’t have that he is not winning as many games. Then they added a deep threat. Dallas has done a good job of putting some pieces around Dak.

Back to Tom, he is really really good but playing in probably the weakest division for the last 15 years has helped his longevity.

why not? Aren't they both NFL quarterbacks?

Dak's stats for his first two years in the league were better than Brady's and his adjusted QBR is higher.

Oops, same sentence.

I'm a huge Dak fan, but you just can't compare QB stats from 2001 to today. Tom Brady started his career in a different era. Brady's QBR of 86.5 in 2001 was 6th in the league. Dak's QBR of 96.9 last year was 14th.

Dak works too hard and is too smart to not start making big jumps. He's able to hit the deep ball now. Really his biggest thing to work on is pocket awareness and I think he will get that down. In college he would tuck it and run for big yardage instead of maneuvering in the pocket to then make a throw. You don't want to do that in the NFL unless you want to turn into RG3. Once Dak gets his pocket presence down, he'll definitely be a top 10 NFL QB.

Uugh there was a big difference in those two teams when those QB’s suited up.

Since we are cherry picking....and comparing the GOAT and Dak.

Dak 3885 22/8 96.9

I mean, I don’t necessarily disagree, but you’re comparing him to 4 top tier hall of famers. You’re right that he’s not ever going to be one of those guys, but neither will 99% of the QBs that play the game.

Also, I know that a lot of people will roll their eyes at this, but Dak’s leadership cannot be underestimated. Guys want to play for him, and his face is plastered all over pretty much any NFL related product these days. There’s more to a franchise QB than just athletic ability.

Flacco doesn't run like Dak can.
Dak adds a whole new dimension when compared to a Flacco or even Brady.

Are people seriously comparing Dak and Brady? Geez. If you're blindly going to follow stats, then Kirk Cousins is better than Dak.
