Collins finishes with 24 points 15 rebounds 15 blocks. His team wins 56-53.
That's what Oscar is for. Lethal combo in our frontcourt. Collins should be able to play an IJ role which is fine by me. IJ is killing it right now and we seem at our best when we have a rim protector out there most of the game. He’s definitely going to struggle with big guys that have some weight to them but I’m excited
Slow it down boys, what did BJ Boston and Terrance Clarke teach you about getting hyped about mixtapes/high school stat stuffing?
You still got any eligibility left?I’ll be the wet blanket here. Collins looked like me playing against my kids on a nerf hoop.
I drop triple-doubles on my kids every day.
Something to think about.
The stuff Collins is doing will translate to college no matter how skinny he is, jus like Nerlens, Jackson, Willie, etc. Boston and Clarke had to rely on shooting way more than in high school and neither were ready, also Boston was not nearly physically strong enough to get by guys and finish!Slow it down boys, what did BJ Boston and Terrance Clarke teach you about getting hyped about mixtapes/high school stat stuffing?
Yeah, I think Bigs and PGs generally translate best to college as freshmen. The shot-blocking, rebounding, ball-handling, and passing all carry over decently I think. Shooting, however, does not translate well that first year in college. So, if I were picking which positions I would rather my OAD guys come from, it would be the PFs/Cs (like Collins & Jackson) and PGs.The stuff Collins is doing will translate to college no matter how skinny he is, jus like Nerlens, Jackson, Willie, etc. Boston and Clarke had to rely on shooting way more than in high school and neither were ready, also Boston was not nearly physically strong enough to get by guys and finish!

Even some of our guys who were really good shooters like Herro, Quickley, Knight, and Murray were mostly average three point shooters percentage wise their freshman year. Guys who come in and shoot 40+% from day one like Doron Lamb are the exception, not the rule.Yeah, I think Bigs and PGs generally translate best to college as freshmen. Which is why I'm hoping for both a high level transfer 2G who has demonstrated the ability to shoot around 40% (I would like for Allen to stay at SF, particularly for offensive purposes), and a good shooting recruit (e.g., Podziemsky and another one if possible) to develop into an upperclassman so in the future we won't be so desperate for transfers to plug holes in the lineup.Even some of our guys who were really good shooters like Herro, Quickley, Knight, and Murray were mostly average three point shooters percentage wise their freshman year. I watched several of Boston’s live games . And he played against great competition. But this is live games....
Think the strength and speed of the college game was something he wasn't ready for immediately.I watched several of Boston’s live games . And he played against great competition.
