I already like Pikiell but now I love the guy. Way to send a message about accountability to the team. And even happier to see Dadika making a big play and take a charge. LOVE IT!

I'd rather not give a game away 3 minutes in but thats just me. What a shame.

Gave away huh? Looks like coach may have been right sending a message as we are down 6 on the road to a ranked team

Sending the message was the right move.

As far as "giving the game away", even if Corey started it is pretty unlikely that Rutgers would win this game anyway.

He just bricked a very important shot. Lots of ru fans tonight won't be happy with that ugly shot.

I wish ash did this a bit this past year, esp at the safety position...sends the right message imo

it had nothing to do with the outcome

How can you say that when Rutgers was -9 without Corey the first 10 minutes and -2 with Corey start to finish? Listen, Rutgers never showed life til that last stretch, which was real by the way (not a what if), but I'm just not sure why you were trying to characterize this as a blow out for 40 minutes of "live tweeting" on
Scarlet nation.

I'll let you win here, and you can continue to down play the teams performance, in a game you gave them no chance in, on the road against the best team in the conference, without their best player available for 18 minutes of the game.

He missed a flight and missed a practice before the opening conference game. To me, he had to sit. Corey's lucky he only sat 10 minutes. I don't think that was an extreme punishment by any means.

He did shoot 1-11 afterall. Wasn't like he was torching the nets. I always feel much better when he was out there but I am really disappointed that after all the suspensions and everything last year that Corey would put the team in this position. But right now, more concerned about his health than anything.

who is downplaying but continue with your narrative that this game was a tossup and keep blasting Pike for disciplining his players

team fought and battled today but they just are not good enough and do not have enough offense. Nothing wrong with tonights performance and nothing surprising but we arent at the level to compete with Wisconsin yet

oh and check Corey's stat line for this game, not pretty 1-11 shooting and the play he was hurt on was a bad bad decision by him forcing it in an impossible spot

Because this guy is ticked off because he's foolish enough to bet on sporting events. He should be pissed at himself for gambling on basketball games. And not waste anybody's else time with that crap on the board for people who actually care about the games as sporting competitions of our favorite school.

We forced so many shots and missed soma you layups. You don't see Wisky missing them. We go 4-5 minutes not scoring. Can't do that against top teams. Good defensive effort.

This team 10-2 ATS my man (9-3 if you have bad timing).

No but really, 10 minute benching, that's not really discipline. I mean, if you agree he had to be punished, ten minutes doesn't seem like much of a punishment. Except to the rest of players who you've taken the game away from. Just speaking from experience. If I'm Mike Williams I'm pissed at both of them but moreso coach.

To each his own.

He needs to have someone teach him how to hit an outside shot

RuSojo - I have known Mike Williams well since he was a little kid. I can guarantee you he is not pissed at the coaches for how they handled Sanders.

Good tidbit. I know if I was him I would be.

Mike played a great game.

You can't lead a program without discipline. Im looking at building it the right way and this was a small message that practice is critical to the success of any team; especially one playing in this league. I think the message was fine and Corey knows what he did. Maybe there is no next time either. He's critical to this team but you don't favor anyone.

Johnson and Sanders. 5 for 25 and only 2 fouls (defense) between them.
Dadika can play more if this continues.
(seriously, we need our guards to get back to playing under control and setting the tone ) You would hope what Mike Williams is doing would rub off a bit.

RUSojo apparently feels that if Sanders had started, he would have played well and RU would have won. He is entitled to that opinion, even though he is wrong.
