It's hard to dislike that guy. I am even more impressed now with Frost that he won a recruiting battle with that dude.
Down to earth guy who knows how to coach! His first two years of full coaching at Clemson, he had 11 losses I believe. He turned it on after that.
And Clemson’s failures prior to him changing his coaching staff, led to the phrase “Clemsoning”.After 2 bad years, he fired his coordinators and brought in 2 great ones in Venables and Chad Morris.
Crazy that he was only a position coach before taking over as head coach, but he's a great leader that surrounds himself with top-notch assistant coaches who can recruit.

His church also got caught funneling money to recruits/players.

You got a source on that? And Clemson’s failures prior to him changing his coaching staff, led to the phrase “Clemsoning”.

Um, no, I can’t stand him, at all. His rah rah crap, skipping up and down the sidelines and acting like a 17 year old cheerleader is unbearable.
He owns a church?
? Never heard that. Do you happen to have a link somewhere on that? I am just too lazy to look it up.
You got a source on that?
I bet after the game tonight they did some hip hip hoorays.Yeah, well.....unfortunately recruits seem to be lapping that s#$% up.
Maybe. I really think that his seemingly sincere focus on Jesus / God really sells to the players and families from the south. I haven’t looked to see where the recruits come from, but I bet a huge % are from the Bible Belt.Yeah, well.....unfortunately recruits seem to be lapping that s#$% up.
I take back my Dabo comment as it wasn’t him caught it was a pastor at the mega church Dabo belongs to called Newspring. Other stuff on google about it if you look.

10 years ago we were on exactly equal footing as Clemson was, both of us had brand new head coaches. 10 years later our biggest win is in the Holiday bowl and he has 2 nattys.Dabo just seems like Bo from an alternate universe. A better looking, calmer Bo

Maybe it’s genuine. His bio says he became a Christian at the age of 16. I don’t think when he was 16 he was hatching a plan to fleece high school recruits years later to come play for him.Maybe. You have to be talking about looks. Because success on the field, Bo could not qualify to be his water boy.Dabo just seems like Bo from an alternate universe. A better looking, calmer Bo

He is still 0-1 against BO and Clemson seems to be avoiding adding Youngstown State to their schedule.

But I suppose it could be a ruse now that he’s older, who knows?
Is there more out there pointing the finger at him than the article linked? I didn’t google it myself.
And a lot smarter.Dabo just seems like Bo from an alternate universe. A better looking, calmer Bo
Maybe I misread your post... I got the sense you thought his Christianity was an act, calling it “seemingly sincere”. It sounded as if you were saying he was using his “Christianity” to bring in recruits, but were questioning his sincerity. If I misread that my apologies.Wha? Fleecing high school recruits and ruse? What are you talking about
I didn't read it that way at all, but it does seem to me like Dabo is hiding something. Maybe not Christianity specifically but he also plays up the "family" aspect of it. He probably is mostly sincere about it, but there just seems to be a slight hint of insincerity about him with the way he talks.Maybe I misread your post... We've had plenty of coaches like that over the years, Ron Brown and Turner Gill are both like that, If you have ever met either of them you would know that they are sincere in their beliefs. Why can't Dabo do the I love Jesus schtick?Maybe. I really think that his seemingly sincere focus on Jesus / God really sells to the players and families from the south. One of best friends on Clemon's Board then
A good friend on Board now
When money issue rose I sent Best friend the dirtiest, crinkled $5 bill I could find.
Told him Clemons knew how to launder it and make it clean
He gave to their President who sent me a nice thank you for the donation to their athletic program - damn hillbilly
Lost $100 at barber shop when our QB couldn't play in the NC game.
I hate Clemons and every think ab out their
