Less people are getting the virus than would have been the case had no one been vaccinated, and those that are the getting virus despite being vaccinated generally have milder symptoms. What other definition of mitigate do you have in mind?
Just read the bottom line on ESPN right now... they are updating vaccinated athletes that have now contracted the virus and are going to miss the Olympics.
Yes it should be a personal choice. People that have been vaccinated are getting the virus left and right. A report just came out of the UK saying 40% of their people who are hospitalized for Covid have been fully vaccinated. Now we're up to 6 fully vaccinated Texas Democrats that got Covid after their publicity stunt of a plane ride to DC. Its not some life line and we will surely die without it like some of these idiots want us to believe.
Exactly. The best thing that can happen to a healthy person is to get the virus and let their own immune system build up antibodies against it. We dont need a clown like Fauci or Biden to tell us that. It's just common sense.
Wow! Let me understand. There is proof that the vaccinations are 95% effective but you would rather not take a shot and put your self and others not vacinated at risk. I would be more worried about the long-term effects of Covid than the very very few people who have bad reactions to the shot
Are less people getting the virus though and if so how much less? We know less people are testing positive,less death,hospitalizations. We don’t know how many people vaccinated or not are walking around asymptomatic do we? Sure we know vaccinated people are less likely to transmit it but how much less? One of the talking points to get vaccinated was to stop the spread right? Where is the data to support that when it’s doubtful that vaccinated people who are infected are actually getting tested?
And yall are running out to get an untested vaccine for a virus with a greater than 99% survival rate? Got it.

You are correct in that it should be a personal choice but likely that those who remain unvaxxed will have less opportunities available to them as businesses continue to implement restrictions.
What I don’t get is if you feel so protected by the shot, then why do you care who else gets it? Why should you even care?? You’re protected, right?!
And this isn’t some political thing for me as the vaccine was developed & distributed on Trump’s watch…but I was never gonna take it regardless bc I just didn’t feel comfortable with it…but like I said, to each his own & congrats to you for taking the Trump vaccine…

It’s very simple. The unvaccinated people are singlehandedly causing the creation of variants which is prolonging the pandemic. It’s past the point of respecting people’s opinions. Adults who aren’t vaccinated are directly harming the country.

Tucker had a CDC stat - ~350 COVID deaths for <18; John Hopkins researchers found literally all of those deaths had an underlying precondition of leukemia.
Is it that simple though? Vaccinated people are getting it. What makes you think they are not spreading it as well? There is no data to suggest they can’t. How many asymptotic vaccinated people do you think are getting tested? I would think little to none unless mandated to do so.

More people dying from vaccine in last two weeks than Covid. Makes you wonder. Real number on deaths from vaccine is about 45.000. if your young and heathy don't see a need for it. It's a personal decision for sure. Don't trust our government or media that's also for sure. JMO.

I will pray for you, I was watching videos of people from Arkansas yesterday that are much younger than you one step away from death saying they would do anything to go back in time and get the vaccine. I think a very recent study has shown that all the bogus information about the vaccine has originated from about a dozen people on the Internet.
In my decision to get the vaccine I didn't hesitate because all I could think about was giving the virus to a family member and killing them. I can't imagine being so fearful for myself that I put them in danger. To each his own.
The vast majority of people getting it and spreading it are unvaccinated.
I never said it would go away 100%. But unvaccinated people are 100% dragging this thing out.
Untested, yet there are thousands of people from phase two trials who have now been vaccinated for over a year with no ill effects.
I agree with most of what you are saying, but isn't it ironic that when COVID deaths were raging all other morbidity decreased dramatically. Now a drug rushed through all phases, or possibly skipped phases (not sure on this), of testing is amazingly safe.
I will sit in the skeptical chair for a while, especially already having had COVID.
I know people with the vaccine that have just contracted COVID. It's not a cure and it hasnt been around long enough to know it's true effectiveness.
