Lol. He played ten minutes and couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn. 0-4 from 3 and none were even close. He is a total non factor.

It’s hard to play when you play 2 minute segments and you know you will get jerked out of the game if miss a shot or make any mistake. None of his shots were close? You are just a hater.

Remember this post because you will eat your words about Allen. He’s going to transfer and be a great player/scorer for some team.

Lol. Hater. I hope the young man stays. And if he does leave, I hope he has a successful career. But you are delusional if you think he should have taken any minutes away from Boston today. Not one minute.

Cal should have played Allen a lot more earlier in the year. A lot. But this situation is game to game and there is zero reason to play Allen over Boston today. Zero.

When did I say that Allen should have played over Boston today? I said when Boston was shooting poorly, Allen should have played more minutes. I root for all players, but whoever is playing better should play. However there was a time when Allen was playing better than Boston and Cal played Boston. Try to keep up!

You people keep forgetting that you earn pkaying time in practices. It was said by many that he has not been hitting his shots in practice either so why does that equate to more playinv time in games? Does he stay over and practice his shot? Does he get up early to practice with the breakfast club? I haven't read anywhere where he has participated in the early morning practices.

Does Boston? 🤷🏽‍♂️
Boston is 2x the player Allen is... ..Allen needs to understand he is a 4-year guy..He's played well for a guy that hasn't played in almost 2 years and coming off a blown knee.. He's getting a shot, but can't hit water from a boat.. 0-4 today Has made 2 shots in the last 9 games.. stop it with the Allen should play over Boston

People need to get over it that DA as of now deserves mop up time only. No one has been able to bring up anything else he brings to the team if he is not hitting his shota. People used to compare him and Boston to try to defend their agenda but after today, they can't do it so they look for another player to compare. As of now, DA brings the same things as Payne...

Mintz and Boston made 13 threes today. Allen made none.

that’s why he was in there at the end. some of you message board coaches need to lose the KY Kid boner and actually watch the games.
You need to go do something constructive with yours perv

The Allen debate is always a crazy one and you can make cases for both sides . The writing probably was on the wall when Cal said he would let guys play through their misses because they made them in practice . That was alarming .

Allen hasn’t played good as of late but you could say that about Askew most of the season and he was closing some of those games .

He’s like 2 for his last 13 and shoots the ball like it has hot acid on it - his release is rushed not quick
Because Cal keeps saying if you don’t shoot it you’re coming out. Allen shoots some balls that he wouldn’t ordinarily shoot if not for Cal’s mind games. He does need to get stronger and better driving around defenders when they crowd him.

His shooting slump seems to coincide with Cal first calling him out for passing up shots. He’s looked uncomfortable ever since. He frequently rushes or forces shots that he obviously isn’t comfortable taking & it’s doing nobody any good. He plays tight like someone under extreme pressure or scared to make a mistake or miss a shot.

I’m not saying he needs to get 30 min/game & to be the first or second option. But, he’s the best shooter on the team when he’s playing with confidence & he can absolutely contribute & help this team. Even if he’s just a one dimensional, spot up shooter he could be a deadly weapon if we had anybody else to keep defenses honest or a PG who can draw defenders & find open shooters. Some teams even run plays for guys like that. They FIND ways to get them shots. But, he looks like a guy who’s completely lost his confidence & comfortability on the floor.

To me, it looks like Allen knows he’s not as good as everyone thinks he is ... at least, right now. Let him evolve ...

Allen has shot 33 percent from three including all the games before and after the Miss State game. Maybe he is not the shooter everyone makes him out to be.

Calipari made the statement after a game that the fans don’t see a player miss 10 shots in a row in practice. He was obviously referring to Allen.

CJ Frederick shot 53 percent from 3 in high school and that was while winning the state title. Allen shot 38 percent from three in HS and that was playing against terrible competition and shooting 10 bombs a game. That is not really pure shooter numbers. But for some reason he is know as the best shooter ever!!

All Cal's fault. Cal better start making those shots.

Steals/blocks:
DA 2/1, 10 mins
BB 1/0, 32 mins
I like Allen, but how about reality with those stats.

DA 10 mins 0-4 from 3, 2 reb, 1 assist, 2 steals, 1 block, and 2 points.

BJ 33 mins 7-13, 6-10 from 3, 4 reb, 3 assist, 1 steal, 2 TOs, and 21 points.

BJ has looked rough at times but why not give him credit when he deserves it? He played well and Allen has struggled lately. Allen got in the game and took 2-3 3s before the game was out of hand. Truth is he or Ware didn't give us much of anything off the bench. I like them both and was excited to see them in there, but they both looked rough offensively.

Many players weren’t hitting their shots in GAMES, nevermind practice. Cal had to play them in order for them to miss more shots, though. His words, not mine.

Okay so I watched the remainder of the game from yesterday. I thought they all looked pretty good, including Allen. Askew is still a major work in progress. He needs a TON of work in all areas.

Allen shot 4 3s and just couldn’t get his shot to fall. He actually had a nice assist for one of Boston’s 3s. He had some nice defensive plays as well. The people on here that claim he can’t pass or play defense are just full of ****.

Seems like Cal is running some plays to get Allen some shots finally. I don’t really have any gripe about the game yesterday. I thought they all looked good.

Boston played within himself and wasn’t his normal selfish self. If he can play within the team concept and be a team player, I’m all for that. It’s when he starts playing that hero ball that pisses me off. He isn’t good enough to take over games yet.
