Allen can be a good player here, maybe great...if he wants to. Cal is not sabotaging him. He is getting pretty normal run for a Freshman who is behind the depth chart. He is relatively one dimensional right now. Really hope he stays and grows as a player.

We just won by 28 and you start a thread complaining. Some fans just can't seem to be happy for at least 24 hours. I'm ecstatic about how we played today, maybe that is more important than whether our #10 depth chart player didn't play so much?

I’m not complaining I’m just wondering why he hasn’t played many minutes in the past handful of games. This by far was the best team ball we have played all year.

He was screened on a play earlier in the game. He just gave up on it. Didn't fight through it. Barely made an attempt. Not many players are going to get minutes if that's the energy they are going to give. It's crazy though because we've seen times where he's shown flashes of being a good defender. Perhaps, after missing nearly 2 years, and this only being basically his 24th collegiate game he's still getting in to basketball shape and adjusting to the speed of the game. He truly deserves patience from everyone.

This wouldn’t even be mentioned if DA were from anywhere other than Kentucky. Big win, post about one player not playing. DA isn’t good. Not yet. Kid can’t handle the ball, so he needs a set up; but he can’t hit a three; hasn’t been in a while. Can’t play D. Can’t pass. Can’t get his own shot. He shouldn’t be getting anymore run that he is. Enjoy a win, they don’t come around very often.

I've seen him take his man off the dribble and score at the basket as well as pop the three. He's clearly lost confidence and Cal isn't doing anything to help.

He is probably the most willing passer on the team. He plays defense better than Boston.
We suck! We know Boston is gone. Why not give Allen some clock so he comes back next season?

No, it’s relevant because he can shoot. Period, end of story. If you get a guy who can shoot, you play him and you keep him. At one point, Boston was shooting 19% from 3 and Allen was shooting 45% from 3 and Cal played Boston. There’s only one reason why Cal did that, 5 stars!

such a stupid post. Boston’s 50x better than Allen. That’s why he plays more

Lol. He played ten minutes and couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn. 0-4 from 3 and none were even close. He is a total non factor.

Boston is a better player than Allen, yes. 50x better? No. Cal should have played Allen more this year, especially when Boston was shooting 19% from 3. Cal let Boston through his mistakes but he didn’t with Allen.
Cal should have played Allen a lot more earlier in the year. A lot. But this situation is game to game and there is zero reason to play Allen over Boston today. Zero.
