No Westburg is kind of surprising.

Foscue & Ginn - 2nd Team
Tanner Allen - 3rd Team

Vandy with three first teamers: Martin (3B), Rocker (SP), Brown (RP), and a second teamer (Hickman - SP). Lacy from A&M and Hancock from UGA both 1st team.

Burns from Aub & Henry from LSU also getting a nod at SP. Keegan from OM made it at third team 3B too.

I expect Rowdy and Westburg to play like All Americans down the stretch. Who got the All American nods at Short?

I expected Rowdey to be one of our best all-around hitters last year and he was mired in a horrendous slump for about the first three quarters of the season. I have learned over many years to not expect anything concerning baseball, but there are certainly lots of reasons to be optimistic. If our bullpen comes together it could be another really good year.

Who do we expect to start Sat & Sun?

yeah baseball is a fickle sport. even some of your best players (mangum) can go throw bad slumps that can hurt them.

we certainly have a lot of good pieces back and with new additions. Hopefully with Mangum gone Westburg, Allen, and Foscue have stepped into those leadership roles.

Cerantola is on my "sneaky awesome" list for next year. I believe he will be a weekend starter and have a big year.

Honestly, he has better "stuff" than Ginn. Hopefully, he can harness it and give us 5 innings on Sundays. Lemo thinks he's going to be a high pitch count guy like Small in 2018 so he wants him to pitch on Sundays so we don't burn through our pen on a Saturday.

MaCleod is unproven too, but the staff has a lot of confidence in him.

I hope one of the freshman: Sims, Bednar, and/or Logan Tanner can step up. I expect Koestler to be mid-reliever/first guy out of the pen. Then need a Lefty to emerge, maybe Rokose or Shemper.

Would be cool if Leach could keep Cumbest on Football scholarship but let him play baseball full time like Pat Dye did with Frank Thomas. Seem like the right move if we aren't going to use a TE.

GREAT advice! I try to follow a similar approach each season. The only thing I would add is that you can't win any titles in February or March. You really want your team to start showing something in April and May, especially your pitching staff

MacLeod is considered more of a sure thing this year than Cerantola by our coaches. That’s why MacLeod will be the Saturday guy. I think our fans are really going to like him. He would’ve pitched a lot for us last year if healthy.

I love Cerantola as the Sunday guy though. When he’s on the he can be one of the best number three starters in the country. And if he’s not on, well most teams don’t have good Sunday pitching so we can rely on our offense which should be one of the best nationally.

Bullpen is far and away the biggest question mark for this team, and can be the difference in us winning it all or not even hosting depending on what level of performance we get.

Bullpen is an unknown. So is Ginn's durability to be honest.

Cerentola is a guy that could have 10 K's and 100 pitches by the fifth inning. That's kind of his issue right now. Efficiency. He's still learning how to pitch but he could be a first round pick next year once he puts it all together.
