IMO The poor first half was caused by bad field position. Chiles and Kelly's O need space behind the LOS (20- 25 yards) to move things around and scramble. They were trapped at the goal line and the safety shook them up and knocked things out of rhythm. Field position wasn't much better for a while and things needed a reset at half time. Huge learning opportunity.

I know the safety ended up the margin of victory, but at the time, I was only a wee bit disappointed. I feared a 21 yard Nikola punt leading to a TD. Then be blasted the next one. They did an ok job doing rope-a-dope for much of the first half.
