1) for the love of God please NOT K-State again

2) Shitt vs Yuke-On at Fenway.....I could laugh about this for a month
It's really premature for me to mention this before the bowls are set, but it surprises me that he has K-State as an 8.5 point favorite over us. It seems to me that's an awfully big spread.

every week Rutgers is predicted to be in the Rate Bowl, but every week it's a different opponent named.
Could be a Hillbilly-Guido game as next week's pick

Amazing, but true -- it was in 1936. Catholic didn't play football during World War II, resumed it after the war but dropped the sport in 1950, resumed it at a club level in 1965, then went Division III in 1977. The school is now a football-only member of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Catholic_University_Cardinals_head_football_coaches
The Wikipedia entry is old as the Football team now plays in the Landmark Conference with all of their other sports.

Very good Athletic program overall for a Dlll school.

Thanks -- Great reminder to always double-check what Wilkipedia says!

so if we go by all the latest projections, is it fair to say that if OSU beat Michigan we’d likely have gone to charlotte or nashville with Michigan going to lesser valued bowl? Or is mich. Too much name recognition and likely would have gotten better one anyway over RU?

Cheez-It Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida vs SEC

ReliaQuest Bowl in Tampa, Florida vs SEC

Duke's Mayo Bowl in Charlotte, N.C. vs ACC

Music City Bowl in Nashville, Tennessee vs SEC

Pinstripe Bowl in New York vs ACC

Rate Bowl in Phoenix vs Big 12

∎ GameAbove Sports Bowl in Detroit (Ford Field) vs MAC

I don’t believe so. It just would have removed Michigan from consideration for the Reliaquest bowl, but RU would still be the last picked.

And that is partly because of what the two above said and partly because 6-6 vs 7-5 and 7-5 vs 8-4 are basically considered the same thing.

How has it not leaked yet. Usually the coaches tell the players so they can let their parents know, and someone leaks it on facebook

The Selection Show starts now and runs from 12 to 4. All will be revealed by 2, or 3 at the latest.

TCU or Baylor would be cool.
These will be very difficult games.. I think TCU already shows as 8.5pts favorites vs. us. They have a strong offense. Hope we get some injured D players back for their final RU game: Lewis, Loyal, Rogers, etc.

Maybe RU brings 5,000 more than MN. VT will bring 35,000, so VT vs anyone is better than RU vs Louisville. Maybe a 9-3 Duke wanted a different bowl or bowl wanted them? NC State could have worked for RU, but lots of ACC scenarios with their teams

Can someone remind me regarding bowl revenue. B1G pools it correct. We get a full share of the bowl money plus a full share of the 29% B1G gets of playoff revenue, correct?

Teams get to keep a percentage for expenses then yes it gets pooled.
Winning Playoff teams get to keep $15M the other $10 goes in the pool.
Total money gets paid equal amounts to every team whether they played in a bowl or not.

Ty. Is this in addition to the media money we get for regular season games or part of that payout?

Chase Field was built for baseball, but, according to Wilkipedia, an attempt is made to adapt it for football:

"For football and soccer, the field is set up with the end lines perpendicular to the third-base line and temporary bleachers added on the east side." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chase_Field

As someone who was there is 2005, it was a weak attempt IMO.

Not everyone agrees, but I thought the Rogers Centre did the best in that aspect.

The 29% figure starts in two years. I believe the B1G has already earned $16 million (4 teams at $4 mil per) for this year’s CFP.

In addition, eight other schools are playing bowl games. There will be a lot of bowl money coming to RU - beyond the broadcasting rights fees for football.
