Just thought I'd add this over here since there isn't a thread on it.

Consider me shocked- I understand that a "higher" school might need a shooter, but I can't believe that he will get more time then here considering the defense and limitations. I get that this is an opportunity. I wish Curran nothing but the best, but am surprised.

I have zero inside knowledge (or maybe knowledge more generally), but my guess is that it’s more a situation where he felt like his playing time was going to be squeezed by the new additions on the wing (including Jones being eligible after his transfer year). My guess is he will end up going to a “lower” school where he can get more PT, not to a “higher” school that needs a shooter.

I think losing Curran Scott will be a problem for us. He was a solid scorer and provided much needed offense for us many times. I will always love his buzzer beater 3 against USF.

We traded shooting for a big man (which I don't exactly hate to be honest). I would have rather seen someone like Hewitt or Barnes go though.

I'm not sure Hill will be enough to offset our shooting woes.

Maybe my memory is selective but I think of Scott being too streaky to be counted on. You can’t build around a guy who disappears for games at a time. Nice role player but not a major piece.

Loved his spirit though. Was a killer on a team sorely lacking in killer spirit.

A good example of you never know what motivates these young men to change directions. I liked is tenacity, slow on defense but he will be a scorer for Lamar, or, UT Arlington, Texas State, I wish much success.

Who in their right mind would want to get a masters from a program that is being cancelled.
