What does it exactly mean? Just take out? Are they supposed to bring it?
My wife had a doctors appointment yesterday, so we picked up something on the way home. Murky Waters BBQ. Gulfport has had a shelter in place going on, so I called and asked if they had curbside, which they said of course. Order pulled up, and they had a sign that said come in to get it. No gloves. No masks. Everyone is just hanging out, letting people come in to get their food. If this curbside or are they breaking the law?

Curbside is prefered but you can pick up BUT there shouldn’t be a bunch of people just hanging around.

I’m curious about this too. We’ve been staying in (except me going to get groceries) for two weeks. My wife and kids haven’t left at all during that time. We didn’t feel like cooking last night so I ran to a Thai place in D’Iberville that my kids love to get takeout. Same deal - I had to go in and get the food.

I will say that it appeared that people are starting to take It more seriously. I-10 was an absolute ghost town when I went around 6:00 last night.

I went by Juniors in Hernando. I wanted catfish. It was a drive-thru. Great service. You don't get out of your car. They take order from the passenger window. You pull up. They run your order out to you when it's ready.

also a Mexican place here does the same. Their service was good. I didn't leave the car.

however I'm probably done using curbside. Both Instances, the food was cold and portions small. I can cook better at home.

Used it at Home Depot yesterday....worked great. Young man came out wearing a mask and gloves with my product. Remember to take a few bucks to tip...they need it.

If it's curbside, you should pull up to the front of the store and they bring the food out to you. You should only have to interact with one person, the one that brings it out to you.

It's like drivethru except the facility is not equipped with a drivethru window.

We finally got food from a restaurant last night...first time in a few weeks.
The thai place we picked up from has delivery or pickup. I went to get it- they route customers thru a maze in the building that ensures everyone stays about 10 ' apart. The front desk where you pay only allows 1 person at a time, and you walk out a side door away from the one used to enter.
All employees at the counter had masks and gloves.

It was impressive, and a bit unnnerving(masks and gloves).

Why anyone is hanging out is beyond me.

I call ahead and ask will they bring it to the car. (I don't want to have any interaction.) I tell them I will let the rear door open and they can set in the back. If they say "no problem" then I order.

Did this with Lost Pizza last week. Called the order in, gave them my CC, put $10 tip on the order, and then called them when I got there. Hit the button to open the rear door and she set the pizza inside. Worked like a champ! Also, Pizza was excellent!

I do this with my kroger clicklist also. I put a $10 bill in the back and tell them that's their tip while they are loading...

Pandemic or not I don't do take out for that reason. I don't want cold food or food thats clammy from being in a Styrofoam clam shell. I can't stand parking places reserved for take out customers either. Pisses me off to see empty reserved places for somebody that's not there and may not be for who knows how long, meanwhile I'm legitimately there driving in circles looking for an available spot that doesnt exist. OK, I'll climb down off my soap box and go cook a microwave pizza now
