I'm pretty sure I saw the quote you're referring to, also saw numerous things saying it was fake, maybe why the Facebook post is gone

That’s really disappointing. I was looking forward to some juicy offseason drama. Nothing else going on right now.

I saw the quote. It was good, if real would have been some nice extra motivation to wipe the floor with them. However, I believe he tweeted out something that said it was fake. Now not sure if he is just saying it was fake or if it really was.

If it was that #2 who kicked our a** last year he deserves to say whatever he wants. We need to prove we can stop him this year.

Didn't that guy get drafted this spring? The guy I want to see worked over is the linebacker that purposely hurt Martinez's leg. I want to see him down and writhing in pain. Guys like that deserve a bounty on their head.

That still boggles my mind how after the "investigation" he was found to do nothing wrong. When it is so damn obvious what he was trying to do/ did. He was on the ground a full 4 or 5 seconds extra after the whistle. It wasn't like someone was laying on him and he had to wait for them to get off. It was only him and Martinez on the ground at that point. Can clearly see him twisting on Martinez leg.
Im going to assume everyone on our team remember it and him. There will be a little extra directed his way.

95% of Colorado fans think that linebacker was innocent as well. It’d be awesome if we had an O-lineman who was Martinez’s childhood friend starting for us. Jacob Collier needs to be absolutely dismantled, and now that we know it’s legal we can go ahead and do it. Me and some buds are going to the game :D

It took some pictures and some time but I actually got a couple CU fans to admit he purposely hurt Martinez. I got three pic frames where it shows the LB literally eyeing Martinez leg and knee before he wraps up, 2nd is of him just laying flat on Martinez leg and the 3rd shows him wrenching on it and Martinez screaming out. Their comments where “ It happens all the time in college football, our LB just got caught doing it was all”. Man, Fluff fans are something else.

To be fair, it does happen, just not all the time. Like when Ben Cotton had his nether regions attacked by Tony Jerrod-Eddie of Texas A&M; or when AJ Klein from Condiment State tried to tear Rex Burkhead's head off after a TD. Both those situations penalties were called... On Nebraska. Those plus 2AM's injury against Colorado are perfect examples of why crap like that needs to be reviewable. One situation saw nothing done, two saw the wrong person penalized.

I think the worst one I seen not called was when KSUcks player almost breaks Eric Crouch’s neck and the play was made in the wide open...no way the refs missed that and we all remember what happened...not one flag thrown. I still remember seeing the ref on the side line near Solich take of running away from Solich as fast as he could when Solich ran up to him trying to complain about the clear and obvious face mask. Wow...that’s all I got.

A few things come to mind concerning the game in boulder, how much Nebraska's defense improves compared to early last year; the altitude up there as the game wears on, I'd have the players sucking oxygen right from the get go; how hot will it be as that can mix with the altitude and make things interesting in the 4th quarter.

Special teams are also a concern, at least now, hopefully improvements will show up early in the year and keep getting better. Turnovers, they cost Nebraska big last year against cu, and penalties, have to cut both out, as we know. It should be a game like last year, down to the wire type, and hopefully a Husker win.

I don’t see this game being anywhere like last year. Not even close. We are nothing like the team that played them in game one, even at seasons end, let alone year two. We had two different teams by then. Colorado will be breaking in brand new staffs and Head Coach. Head Coaches always struggle in year one...I don’t see Colorado being the exception. As for sucking wind...yes, Colorado altitude is higher then ours but Frost has a super fast pace practices where we are always go, go, go, go...faster and faster and faster. We will more times then not, be the most conditioned team on the field next year...SHOULD.

Heck when you think about it. Most of the games other teams usually jump out to a lead right away in the first half and we always seemed to catch it up or come back at the end. A lot of that is due to our players being so well conditioned. Other teams are wearing down while our Huskers are still going strong. That wasn’t always the case, sure, but most the time that’s what happened. Frost takes pride on having the most conditioned team out there and that’s why we run such a high paced, high intensity practices.

Yes penalties or non call penalties need to be reviewable 100%. 1 helps keep the refs honest and 2 help keep the players honest. Any player caught doing shady ****. Is ejected for the game and the following game. Need to make harsh to stop this stuff.

Altitude is going to be an issue. Doesn't matter how conditioned a team is, it is a shock to the system when you aren't use to. Other than that, I don't have much concern regarding this game. We have better overall talent, we are year 2 in S&C and in player development. We were trending up last year, they fell off the map. Plus combine all that with them getting a new coach. I would be shocked if they are more than a 3 or 4 win team. I just don't see one of those being against us. I think CU is the game where we all go, wow this team is finally getting it together. 45-27 neb

I agree. But do remember, we have a good chunk of Colorado players on our team...lol I don’t know how much that helps but it can’t hurt ;) Huskers should win this one soundly. It maybe closer early on but I think Martinez, JD speilman, and our other offensive weapons will be to much for Colorado’s defense. Like you bro...i see a 36-26 type win for our Huskers. GBR

I hope it won't be close going into the 4th. 2nd and 3rd stringers in end of the 3rd
