Well... Considering where they come from... talking **** is part of their DNA. Vandy's QB has been talking **** all week leading up to the game against Bama... Talking about taking a knee for the win and he left with his little pride hurt. Best to keep one's mouth shut and let one's actions speak louder than mere words!!!I love it when MacArthur comes to town with an equal record to Rochester and then gets a clock put on them. Reminds me of when they were talking huge after coming to town 5-0. They went back to Decatur 5-1, with a clock put on them after allowing more points to the Rockets than they had allowed in the first 5 games COMBINED.
I think they do that for the most part. I would say it's hard to maneuver. since there are many teams that don't start/play some seniors, so it might need some tweekinI still feel that the IHSA needs to change the mercy run in a more positive way that benefits both teams. I would say that once a team gets up by 40 then it is mandatory to remove starters and Seniors while not having a running clock. IF... If coaches have ethics and integrity, eliminating the running clock would benefit their JV team greatly!
Might not be an IHSA rule, but I feel like most coaches, CS8 and other conferences pull the starters and play the younger kiddos as soon as its 40+... as we saw in the Eisenhower/Rochester game, their QB and Recievers got to show their talents against the "2nd team"... actually fun to see Eisenhower do something against Rochester...regardless of who was on the field.I hope the young Rockets are healthy after this weeks game!!!
Chatham is doing what most programs are doing by getting their JV into at least half the game! With 38 Seniors it is wise!!! I still feel that the IHSA needs to change the mercy run in a more positive way that benefits both teams. Rant over...
Chatham will have zero trouble with Lincoln 49-0
UHigh 39-13
Rockets 56-18
~Jacksonville is in desperate survival mode... QND 28-24
SHG 45-21
Southeast 3-2 10 overtimes
All.... 1450AM Saturday morning were already ramping up the game Friday between the Cyclones and Senators. Current forecast for Friday in the Springfield area a high of 75. Not bad for October. RatsyWeek 7 Matchups

I just think the running clock is a waste of time. Might as well just call the game...I think they do that for the most part. I would say it's hard to maneuver. since there are many teams that don't start/play some seniors, so it might need some tweekin
That's a great message to send the kids.I just think the running clock is a waste of time. Might as well just call the game...
Did you read the whole ******* post line???? Grow the **** up!~That's a great message to send the kids.

I once had a QHS fan tell me that QND's decision to travel to Florida for a game back in 2012-2014 (there abouts) was pointless. Because kids didn't care that much about 8 vs 9 games on the schedule. Whilst I argued that it did matter, bc we owe it to them. It went on for a while... Regardless, I agree we owe these kids the completed games. I disagree mostly with @AlabamaTimberwolf on this one. Your argument would be better served using safety/injury as your primary reasoning. The examples and situation you brought up is only a benefit for all involved to complete the game. And you said the reasons why... Good teams want reps for underclass, bad teams SHOULD want more reps for the entire program in live game action. The running clock is to limit injuries in otherwise mismatched, lopsided contests. We should never be taking snaps away from good or bad teams, most especially right now with the limited contact days, the lessening amount of coach/athlete time allowed, etc in the offseason. So the end the game comment kinda rubbed me the wrong way too, sir. Just my two cents...That's a great message to send the kids.

negative... it helps the underclassmenI just think the running clock is a waste of time. Might as well just call the game...
So a running clock and maybe 12 plays is a better choice than sitting starters and Seniors all the while, giving the JV a portion of game time to play without a running clock???I once had a QHS fan tell me that QND's decision to travel to Florida for a game back in 2012-2014 (there abouts) was pointless.
