Top Stretch 4

Jr 6-8 Paulius Murauskas Saint Mary's

Jr 7-0 Henri Veesaar North Carolina

Jr 7-0 Nolan Winter Wisconsin

Fr 6-9 David Mirkovic Illinois

Fr 6-9 Allen Graves Santa Clara

Fr 6-9 Thijs De Ridder Virginia

Jr 6-8 Amani Hansberry Virginia Tech
What pisses me off ….last year our insiders on HOB said we could have gotten Veesaar for what we paid JQ. “Supposedly “ Veesaar was the safer pick but JQ had a much higher ceiling.

Well we saw how that worked out.

I often wonder if many of UK fans simply complain with no idea what they are talking about.....If anyone looks at Garrison's stats...you'd realize he was plain awful this year

1. I have no idea what money Garrison makes...but to be honest...even if he's only on scholarship...i'd argue he is not even worth that.
2. Brandon scored 5.9 pts his first year....to 4.7 this year....he played 1 minute less a game this year as well vs. first year. So, he essentially went from backing up a NBA-ish Amari Williams to a 'meh' collegiate Center in Moreno. So, this alone tells me we don't need him for a 3rd year.
3. He shot 55% FG and 23% 3pt......those aren't good numbers. and only 4 rebounds a game in 16 minutes
4. His assist to TO ratio...got worse this past year as well.
5. As far as defense....he blocked shots a smidge better than first year.

As far as the intangibles....he's simply the most immature player on the roster....always talking smack and he can't back it up. He doesn't play hard alot of floor time. He has a low IQ for a Jr. If Quantenance didn't opt out...Garrison would have never played last 1/2 of year.

I just don't see a reason why we'd want him back. I'd prefer to keep Moreno and improve him and go with small ball when Moreno needed a rest. Even if he came back for 0 NIL....I don't think he's worth the roster spot.

BG plays like a lottery pick about 4-5 games a season. He's one of the laziest players I've ever seen at UK. Rarely challenged shots in the post. Just stands around on rebounds.

Sounds like he outta here …never was a BG fan but he did started to ball out end of the szn.

Mark my words. He will excel next year under a quality coach like Moreno if he leaves. Another bad look for Pope if this happens.
