Tomorrow is another huge game for this program and the Indiana Hoosiers are ripe for another loss.

I think there will be a big a lively crowd tomorrow (students finally are back)...but why isn’t the AD pumping this game up?

I havent seen any emails come through or posts on Rutgers Athletics Facebook. Someone posted that if we beat Indiana this would be the first time this program had 3 straight conference wins since 2005-2006.

They should be doing everything in their power to drum up interest and sell tickets but seems like they’re dropping the ball.

it will be a cold night during the week so thats going to tamp a full crowd...I expect over 6K which is better than the last few games but not quite over 7K. Need to get a full student turnout...like the ones from the Waters/Bannon years, believe me we have not even approached that since Rice

Michigan is sold out and I think Iowa will be as well since its a Saturday at 6PM.,

need the crowd to be proactive more than reactive. Need it from start to finish.

In the country my parents are originally from, the supporters have a saying : If we expect the players to give everything they have on the field, we must do the same in the stands.

At the same time, Ive seen European supporters show up to a team's practice and make the players remove their uniforms and walk to the locker room in their underwear after an embarrassing performance the prior weekend. They didn't deserve to wear the jersey.

Just make the RAC nuts, thats all we ask.

For shi+s and giggles, I just perused the RU media guide to check out some attendance figures. Here are the top five years for average attendance at the RAC:

1. 7,526.....1998-99.....12-5
2. 7,188.....1999-00.......8-5
3. 7,118.....1990-91.....11-2
4. 6,809.....2004-05.......7-8
5. 6,722.....1989-90.....12-4

lol...i have a mind like an encyclopedia, I remember those games...I think the Delaware one was close..was it 62-59? Those were games where I was a student and it was during break but the students packed the place.....those games today would draw 4K or so.

We smoked Delaware, 101-78, in '92. You must be thinking about our 66-63 win over the Blue Hens on 1-5-91 in front of 6,052 fans.

yes thats the one....I know Delaware had this bald player that was annoying...for some reason I got seats behind the Delaware bench and the game was way to close for comfort.

Got the continent right - but Eastern Europe instead, a few notches crazier. The fan support is relentless and comes from somewhere deeper than just entertainment.
College sports is the closest thing we have here in the States, and that's why I love it.

We should start an all-time annoying opposing player in the RAC thread. I vote for John Linehan, Providence.

Those are some good ones. Probably should add Marcus Toney-El to the all-time annoying SHU list. I'm going to pull out some old ones from back in the day: John Gerdy, Davidson and Kevin Bannon, St. Peter's.

I looked up Linehan out of curiosity and he's now on the Hartford staff connecting him to another All-Time RAC annoyance: Matawan's Jason Dunne. Six degrees of total annoyance.

The Crowd needs to be insane tonight.

Could Pike or one of the leaders of the team go over and give them a pep talk?!? whatever it takes

No sitting in the student section all game.
