Glad to hear that. Crouch was one tough animal with amazing acceleration. When he talks NU football I just shut up and listen.

We need a difference maker like him at WR and OLB and we'll be damned good. JMHO. Man, Frost HAS to give McCaffrey a long look in spring ball. He's just so damned explosive.

I couldn't possibly agree more. I was totally shocked he replaced Luke immediately after an excellent TD pass. As you say, he's greased lightning running the ball to be sure.

Luke is electric running the ball. Not quite Taylor Martinez electric, but I suspect Luke is a better passer and a tougher runner.
He must get his shot this spring.

U couldn’t leave Luke in there after a game changing effort at that point of the game. That might hurt the future Heisman trophy winning QB’s feelings and Luke is not the chosen one and needs to wait for his time regardless if he is the one QB that changed the tone of the entire game after three quarters. Luke cannot be trusted and all the fans crying for Luuuuuuke don’t understand the plan

If WR is/was such a problem (yes it was) why did we not use Luke at WR yesterday? It is my understanding he worked there all week and wanted to play!

I thought I heard all 3 quarterbacks were not 100%

Anyone watching Nebraska football for the last 19 years cannot guarantee anything like that.

Exactly!

Not quite as quick as the insanely fast TMart but still very, VERY fast "and" not scared to run the ball.

Luke is a much better leader and will be a better decision maker.

5 years to what.....make a bowl game? Beat a ranked team?
Good point… I should trust someone on an anonymous message board with a baseball handle to know more about Nebraska football than a former player on the Nebraska football team who knows what’s going on more than most.

I don't know if we should be taking Eric's assessment seriously. He got fired after one season as a position coach at Midland.

Seems most only want to listen to Tommie complain.

Jesus dude, all you do is ***** and moan when people don't express pure happiness with the direction swing pass Scottie is taking the program. Tommie knows a thing or two about being a winner as well.

Or, should we discredit what Frost said upon arrival? On second thought, maybe we should based on his performance thus far.

Anyone see TF's tweet today about the football team? It wasn't positive. Too bad it had to be like that.

Feel free to ask Kenny. Or is Tommie’s the only opinion that matters?

His opinion is just as good as anybody else’s. I am curious as to what he means. I think people expected it to take time to get back to a high level.

Did anybody see us going bowless in his first two years? Doubtful.

Agree. Scott said himself year 2 we would compete for the division. So we believed him. Now I don’t believe him at all. He needs to prove a lot to Husker Nation now.

I think the point being made is people are all in on Tommie’s tweet but any positive tweet from a multitude of other former huskers doesn’t matter.

I don’t think TFrazier has any love for Frost going back years. Kenny and Frost are very close. Have to take anything they say with a grain of salt imo. I took Tommie’s tweet as being critical of Martinez rather than Frost.

Not true, I have expressed my thoughts and concerns plenty. You want to go with TF because he is complaining and discredit these guys, go ahead. Doesn’t surprise me.

We just have to hope Crouch is right. I don't think people think his positive outlook doesn't matter, it's just that Frost hasn't given people any objective reason to believe he will get it done.

The hell are you even talking about? You just choose to beef with Husker fans instead of directing your frustrations at the people directly responsible for the failures on the field. Must be your way of coping I guess

I’m not “choosing to beef” any more than you are. I’m just pointing out former players who are supportive of Frost and are choosing to support the staff and be patient. And for the record, I believe the toxicity of the Nebraska dish bowl has been part of our problem, many times.

Yes, you are. That little line about most only wanting to listen to Tommie complain was just to stir **** up.

Again, everyone on here wants NU to succeed. That's way more important than who the coach is or who the QB is. I hope Crouch is right, that would be fantastic.

What the hell is positive about saying it will take 5 years?
Dammit, use your head a little... he’s saying give it time. This isn’t a quick fix. But he’s also saying if you are patient he will get it fixed.

Was that so hard?

He may be right, he may be wrong, but to say that TF is right and JP and EC and Cheatham and all the others are wrong is not being objective either.

To say because that because Eric is Scott’s friend his tweet doesn’t count (as onechase said) is no different than saying because Tommie isn’t Scott’s friend his tweet doesn’t count either.

What I’m saying is that he’s unintentionally saying that Frost doesn’t have what it takes by saying it’s gonna take him 5 years.

Maybe I should have said supportive of Frost instead of positive... sorry for the escalated previous post.
