Is it just me or is the new staff making more offers to Texas kids? Seems like a good number of kids tweeting about offers from the Lone Star State. Glad to see it!

Isn’t that our reason why UT and aTm are always overrated? Because they recruit overrated Texas kids?

Skill position players in Texas a great. Quarterbacks and wide receivers in Texas are superb. Quite possibly the best 7 on 7 State.

The problem is that Texas lineplay on both sides of the ball is soft.

Contrary to popular opinion on this site, Leach is gonna recruit nationally. Bet on it

Because of the early signing period success this year, they can spend extra time casting a net, and establishing some relationships. Lets hope this can continue, in future years.

We have great athletes, but their problem is qualifying and apparently being able to catch the ball. I’m thinking leach might know what he is looking for, and Mississippi ain’t producing it at a sufficient level.

what site are you going to in order to track offers ?

I am seeing the kids tweet about it because I follow a couple of accounts like Bulldog Recruiting that retweet the kids tweet. (That’s a lot of tweeting I know!) There are also many pics of our staff visiting current commits and other recruits as well. No one can say the staff including ML hasn’t been hitting the road hard this week.

this is very true... I have been involved in Texas High School football for nearly 40 years and the word I would use is ....soft. The only emphasis is on offense ...while Texas does produce nearly 20% of the DI QB's, there really isn't the fertile recruiting land for other positions even with the astronomical numbers of kids playing.

Skill players... skill players are what we need from Texas. Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, and Houston are hotbeds of Air Raid styles of football. I see it here in Austin on Friday Night Fever every season. Westlake, Lake Travis, Vandergift, Cedar Park... lots of great programs that have D1 talent every season. Even those that slip through the cracks like Baker Mayfield and Baylor's QB.
