Maybe it just seems like it but since the KU game UK has had a very difficult whistle away from home. The walk call on Poythressis is hard to understand.

Part of what you said I agree with. However, the refs have been awful. Not just today either, it has been all year. In all games I have watched the refs have just been terrible. Watched them call a foul against Butler today with 5 secs left on a three pointer. Guy did not even come close to touching the Georgetown player. GU hit all 3 which forced OT. Ridiculous. Sad really bc it hurts the players who are out there busting their asses.

It's almost to the point that there is no sense in playing most road games.

Just go ahead and grant the home team the win and end the charade. Quit wasting everyone's time pretending the outcome is even in question.

The only common denominator is our players. We cannot stop dribble penetration and we have no shot blockers or rebounders. That leads to reaching fouls. A ZONE MIGHT HELP, but we all know how Cal feels about that.

nba is so much better. college basketball will always be a 3rd tier sport unless it gets the rules and officiating that are better

It absolutely is, every time we get on a roll, the refs bring the other team back. It's as much mental as it is physical and we have a team on the ropes and they are saved by the refs, young kids can only take so much, one way or the other.

These kids aren't from KY, they came here to get to the NBA and if I were them I would definitely ready to GTFO. Who in their right mind would subject themselves to this for years?

We do because we are BBN, we bleed blue, but college is just a stepping stone for these kids and if the stone is red hot and uneasy, you are going to jump off it quick.

Alex does make some silly fouls, but today he has not been allowed to play defense as being near his man has resulted in about three fouls. The man has been the recipient of several bad calls today. Also we have been tripped several times no call, when they go down it's a foul on us, sickening.

I try hard not to complain about it, but Cal should just forfeit, take his team and leave the Vandy staff and players to high five the refs.

SOS, will happen the exact same way at florida. It's why I don't even bother to watch kentucky road games anymore.

Even with Damian jones getting away with about 14 fouls and a ton of terrible calls, if Ulis plays as great as normal we win this game by double digits.

Briscoe needs to stay in gym and shoot 1000 shots a day. He is the difference maker.

This is by far the worst season ever for officiating. Not sure why it's so bad this year but it is. Most of the refs we are seeing have been refs for a while now but all of the sudden they are bad at an epic level. Like I said last week the SEC needs to do something about this. This is becoming an embarrassment for the league.

On the one hand, our bigs get punched in the mouth and lay down their sword in these games. On the other hand, they don't have much choice when the referees are like this.

Wouldn't help against a team that shoots like Vandy.

We have to admit it. Other than Murray and Ulis we are really not that good.

Yes, that may be right. But if our bigs weren't taken out of EVERY GAME with the same bad calls, maybe they could have some impact. They are obviously being taught to plant their feet and go straight up which is correct and legal defense. They are called for 4-9 fouls a game when an offensive player drives into them playing legal and good defense. This makes us Ole' them by the end of the game due to foul trouble 4 bigs deep.
