Yes you do.That would be Tuscola crowing about breaking scoring records, and rushing records against 2 win or less teams. We just win.![]()
I am one of the old guys that got to see Pig play in person. One heck of a running back for sure. Unfortunately, he was dealt some bad cards later in life. I think Caleb is a great running back too, and I congratulate him for breaking the record, that most people thought was untouchable. But IMO Pursley has helped him pad his stats by keeping him in games when the outcome was really decided early on. I understand keeping the starters in rhythm etc, but that's what it sometimes looked like to me. But if his record stands for 42 years too, good for him.Sorry, Tuscola has to go to the MAC next year so there isn't any room. Pisgah hasn't crowed about how bad they've beaten somebody because all their games have been relatively close.
Franklin is looking for n/c games, hit Josh Brooks up if you want a piece of mountain action so bad.
We all play who is in front of us. As for rushing records, that's a three year career mark Ferguson broke so it really doesn't matter what the scores were or who they played. The guy he beat held it for 42 years, so yeah its a pretty big deal to us. If it bothers you, go play soduku or watch cat videos.
I am ALSO one of the "old guys" that saw Pig play in person. I knew Pig later in life up until his death. I remember games where it seemed like Pig carried the ball literally every single down THS was on offense. I do not agree that Purlsey kept the current B Back in during lopsided games. The THS coaching staff in those games kept starters in ONE SERIES (the first one in after halftime) in the second half in those blowout games. Yet Pig's record fell in what amounts to just over half the time on the field that Pig was in the game during his era. In a whole lot less attempts.I am one of the old guys that got to see Pig play in person. One heck of a running back for sure. Unfortunately, he was dealt some bad cards later in life. The current BBack definitely has more speed, a better offense, and better players around him too.I am ALSO one of the "old guys" that saw Pig play in person. Half of The Pisgah Tuscola half and half. Lol"Oh, we do have two open dates next year. Why don't you or Tuscola add us to that schedule of yours " How much you willing to pay to come up here and play?
You are right blue, I shouldn't have questioned the kid. I know he is a good kid, an excellent running back, and has earned the accolades he has received .But IMO Pursley has helped him pad his stats by keeping him in games when the outcome was really decided early on. I understand keeping the starters in rhythm etc, but that's what it sometimes looked like to me
If you're that big a Bear fan, you should have only seen him once or twice so how do you know how long or much he's played? Most of his yards are gained on just a few attempts and predominantly in the first half.
If you really can't stand to give the kid credit then just leave it be. He and Pursley don't need your validation. At least he doesn't run around after winning games grabbing his junk at the opposing crowd or flipping them off.
Agreed. While the current record holder is a big part of this offense, Pig WAS the Tuscola offense in his day, almost ALL of it. THis is not to diss him, it takes a special player to survive a full season like he did.The current BBack definitely has more speed, a better offense, and better players around him too.
I wouldnt be surprised if that Half n Half pot amounted to more than any single game you have played IN TOTAL. Gate, concessions and all other rrevenue streams combined. In order for home and home series to make sense for Haywood County schools, you're gonna need to bring more than just a good team. No offense, just business.Half of The Pisgah Tuscola half and half. Lol
Yeah. It is too far to drive these days. We travel well but not enough to pay for the trip.I wouldnt be surprised if that Half n Half pot amounted to more than any single game you have played IN TOTAL.
