Not taking anything away from ac but they beat a crest team in the jamboree who didnt play hardly any starters so that means nothing.
Anyone who brings up a JAMBOREE is reaching and are already struggling in their mind for an excuse as to why their team could be better. I forget how many we did not play that night, but whatever makes them feel special.
Tighten that defense up.... We see the film and it does not lie. That's not the same defense from last year, spin it all you'd like. One side of it is terribly weak. It is an overly athletic unit, but it's not what it was.
We have our own issues, I'm not scared to type it. You see the film. It is funny that one of your more vocal posters accused Crest of being one dimensional earlier in the year, but I see that tune has changed. Said we had 5 plays on offense............................... LOL!

Only reason i brought jambo up is,im tired of hearing how even though we played avg teams...Facts are our non conference sch.was harder thens Crest.

You have an outstanding football team my friend. I respect Shelby, you're our neighbors, our friends, and our family lots of times. It is my hope that this is one we will all remember....
We have the best set of linebackerS in this State. We'll stay in the 3 man front IMO...
I'll give Shelby ACR, that was a nice win. However Kings Mountain and South Point we disposed of just like Shelby and Freedom would probably struggle against Ashbrook, they are hands down the most overrated team in the top ten and have no place or reason to be there. East Rowan proved that last year in the first round. I think they make it a little further this year. If they run into SP or anyone really decent, they'll lose. Including the championship.

Yeah, you buy refs, now go back to that panzy thread you call a conference. Let Freedom's daddy's get back to talking about big boy football. Crest and Shelby have 12 state championships between the two schools with more appearances that most students at Freedom can count. Freedom can't even get there. Who knows, maybe you'll get lucky this year and make it to the 3rd round.
I can't speak on what Crest can do or can't do, I haven't seen them play. I do know they have the athletes to match up with Shelby and anyone who thinks other wise is fooling themselves. The key to the game will be who can consistently enforce their will upfront, this was the difference last year. Special teams for us worries me in what could be a close game.
I'm with you. I know only the Jamboree and a little film. Other than that I know nothing. Other than they are Shelby and this game could go a hundred ways. I'm not going to knock those kids over there. I hope you get a toothache and have to stay home. That's a joke before you get your hammer out.

I am thinking about coming to Shelby to see this game.Not many times you get to see the two top teams in 3A and 2A play each other.Wondering what time I need to get there to get a seat and what time the gates open?
