Crazy stat, this team knows how to win. Credit Bednar, bullpen, Sims, defense, clutch hitting, coaching.

As far as our offense, we’ve faced two really good pitchers. Most teams would score 8 or fewer going up against Madden and McGarry.

We have faced elite pitching. I expect Madden and McGarry to be in MLB rotations one day. Outside of Rocker/Leiter the version of those two we have seen this week are the top two opposing pitchers in this tournament- and frankly their stuff is just as good as Rocker/Leiter. Hansen for Texas was really good too and UVA’s pen that we smashed tonight has been lights out all season.

What should impress you is we have gone up against this pitching and are 2-0, even with one of our starters getting chased in the second inning of one of the games.

That is wild, but it honestly seems like the same ol’, same ol’ with this group. They just seem to defy the stats week after week and flat out find ways to win. It’s crazy
