Anyone got any crazy long lost BCG stories? With the news of Kevin Galloway I could go for a good laugh as I was teenager when he coached.

Told Galloway that if he left to see his baby born, he would be in the doghouse. Read somewhere that the kid was born with 5 days until the next game. I don't acknowledge those 2 years. They just never happened...

I've got hysterical amnesia from that time. Who was Billy Gillispe?

Ranger college has no idea what valuable asset they have coming in. Maybe Missouri can look in to having bcg do some speaking to bring peace to the campus

I remember I always thought Galloway should have played more, look at the pic above, I mean at least he looks like a basketball player as opposed to... BCG would start a walk on like KY kid Sloan for 4 games straight, then bench him. Sloan started for UK, quit and then couldn't even get PT at Morehead state. Indiana players were laughing at us and saying no one on our squad could even dribble. it was that bad. Galloway should have played more.

Here you go:

When he was first hired, a UK booster invited BCG to Augusta National to play a round of golf. BCG accepted and then just stood up the other guys at the airport, no show, no call, nothing.

Screwed over the Rotary Club as well.

Practiced just as hard on game days as regular practices, 2 hours before tip off.

Freshman Darius Miller made a poor entry pass into the BEAST Pilgrim, BCG instructed Miller to post up and BCG took a rack of balls and fired fast balls at him at close range saying "COme on Darius", "Whats wrong Darius?"

Made Jorts dive for a basketball 75 times during an open media practice when he didnt dive for a ball during a drill.

Made Jorts sit in a bathroom stall during halftime of a Vandy game.

After the Vandy game he ordered Jos to ride back in the equipment van, however players AND parents resisted.

2009 SEC Tournament Darius Miller sprained his ankle, BCG thought he was being a wimp and told him to walk to the hotel, again the players stepped up and said they would walk with him.

So many more items.

His times at the Merrick restaurant.

Just a total idiot. Horrible, horrible hire.

Ok as bad as Clyde was, that Jorts in the bathroom story is the most overrated thing I've ever seen.

Well, he’s standing right between me and my daughter at the ceremony. He’s got no right to be there, but he’s drunk and he’s Gillispie. Well, long story short, the priest accidentally marries me and Gillispie. We spend the weekend in the Poconos — he loved me like I’ve never been loved before

Did I say it didn't happen? Nooooo, but it's completely OVERBLOWN about how horrendous it is. People act like he killed Jorts' dog. Hell, Jorts blew it off anyway

Then UK Coach Billy Gillispie ordered Harrellson to listen to the halftime instruction from a bathroom stall.

“The bathroom was connected,” Harrellson said in trying to downplay the significance of incident. “I still listened to the game plan. I still watched what he (Gillispie) was doing.”

Harrellson acknowledged feeling humiliated “a little bit,” but added that the banishment inflicted no lasting damage.

“I didn’t take it any way,” he said. “I just knew he (Gillispie) was frustrated because of what was going on. Nobody playing hard or good at the time.”

Typical response here. BCG was on RJ Corman's jet on a recruiting trip. He had a girl with him. While they're flying, he and girl start fooling around. The pilot calls back to the office and asks if this sort of things should be allowed. Evidently, Corman told the pilot to turn the plane around and come back to Lexington...

Not sure who you were referring to regarding how horrendous it was?

Jorts did definitely laugh at it later and the players have always stated that Josh should have flushed the commode while BCG was talking...


BCG certainly did way worse things to players than this, that is for sure:

Making injured players practice with legitimate injuries

Holding up scholarships through summer and ignoring those players.

Absolute douchebag.

Clyde was an utter buffoon and I knew he had disaster written all over him, but I think that whole Jorts in the bathroom thing was overblown. I used to think, when Matt Jones harped on it, "really? All the stuff Clyde does, but you keep bring that up"
