Congrats to Fitz. Interestingly, an Ohio State coach hasn't received the award since Earl Bruce in 1979. Even undefeated seasons and national championships haven't been good enough for an Ohio State coach to receive the award.

Our last two head coaches also won the award in years (1995, 2000) they happened to win (or tie for) the conference championship. Has any other program had three head coaches in a row win the award?

Sportswriters voted Dennis Green COY in the Big Ten in 1982. 4 of our last 5 head coaches have won the award. Interesting.
