As a Dak fan. WTF?
All good NFL head coaches seem to be linked to a QB. Problem for McCarthy is I don't know if he can do it again, with Dak. Seemed to me like a Lincoln Riley, or even Danny Boy, would have been better options.I don’t have any major negative thoughts, but his entire head coaching career has been linked to Aaron Rodgers, and I just don’t know what credit you can really give or take from him based on that. He was just kinda always there... One thing I do know is that the Packers has enough talent to get to 3-4 Super Bowls during his tenure, so the fact that they only went to one is very concerning. He honestly does seem like Garett 2.0
All that said, it is beyond ridiculous to me that a storied NFL franchise like Dallas was only able to come up with Mike McCarthy and Marvin freaking Lewis as prime candidates. Those are plans F and G for even a mediocre NFL club, and it is pitiful that it came down to those two. It isn’t going to happen, but I really wish Dak would get the hell out of there. I’d be thrilled for a Jimmy G for Dak swap

I personally think Riley would have been better than Danny because he has a legit offensive system, and Danny just kinda picked a system and rolled with it, but yeah I agree with what you're saying. Both of those guys are great college coaches but you don't know how well they would do in the NFL. Riley has bombed in big games and so has Mullen. Both seem to out talent the other team the majority of the time. McCarthy has proven to be a successful NFL coach. Now whether that was due to Rodgers or not, I guess the Cowboys are about to find out.
Actually, this is more like rolling back to the beta version of Jason GarrettJason Garrett 2.0
He coached Aaron Rogers....
And accomplished exactly what with Rodgers as QB?
I don't like it. You need to match your head coach to your quarterback.
