Cowboy RTC and the next quad

That’s a crazy stacked lightweight group for the RTC. Zahid and DT are great upper weight guys to have. What weights are they missing, or is it time to get a dang HC?

You don’t “need” an RTC coach.

Cody, Cael and Casey pretty much manned the RTC. They only got an RTC coach to make way for Kennedy on the college staff.

Gilman, DT and Kennedy are all heavily involved with the RTC on a daily basis. Which is what you truly want if the RTC is actually important to the program.

I think it's short-sighted to not promote Greco in the country.

Honestly? I think promoting Greco is short-sighted. We (Olympic Wrestling) have a gender equity problem. I understand the purity of Greco, and as an old man, it's actually my favorite style to wrestle in practice - but to watch? and truly "grow the sport" YUCK.

We get rid of greco as an olympic sport, and that's 9 weight class (24 medals). Would be pretty easy to jump to 10 at that point.

Rin lost in the quarters 12-6 to Chongsong Han from NK. Han then won in the semis, which put Rin in the repechage, where he'll face Zainal Abidin of Indonesia. Abidin lost to Han 11-0 in the opening round.

The winner faces Munkh Erdene Batkhuyag of Mongolia who lost to Han 9-6 in the semis.

Just finished his first match. He did a really good job of staying aggressive but calm and eventually got the takedown into a lace for 11-1 win.

Beautiful stuff there by Rin. 10-0 win in 89 sec.

He is so active with his hands and feet I love it. Went snap single into a go behind for the takedown. Then had position for a gut and dropped down and locked a lace for the quick tech.

Rin gets pinned in repechage. Was down 3-1 and tried to counter into a scramble but got caught on his back instead. I still like what I’ve seen from him. He has 4 more years to grow

So he finishes with 2 techs, a loss to the eventual champ and a loss in the 3rd place match. Not bad!
